I like it.

Trump is doing the near-impossible - making Hillary look good.

I have this feeling, or maybe it is wishful thinking, that your common sense isn't that common.

It is in my social environment. America has been hopelessly divided and I have chosen a side. I think we are doomed. I am just not going easy, a paraphrase from Scotty Hamilton.

I think for something to be common it has to extend beyond the "hidden in the mountains religious doomsday preppers" subset.

That's very common. You just don't see them because they are hidden.

Ever see any hidden preppers in your backyard? No? That proves they are there. That's just common sense.

That makes sense.

I am sure it does for you!

Our current situation is similar to when we find contaminated food. We stop shipping, processing, buying the food in question until the problem is found and neutralized.

And yet with this Chipotle issue, nobody (sane) is lobbying for a ban on Mexican food. As a matter of fact, nobody is lobbying for a full closure of Chipotle.

Remember a lot of years back? Someone poisoned some capsules, Tylenol, I think, or maybe contact cold remedy?

I think like, maybe 10 people across the United States actually died.

Try to find any over the counter medication without at least 2 safety devices on it.

The only sane thing to do is ban all pain medication until we solve the problem and make sure it can't happen again. What's wrong with keeping your family safe?

Sorry, wrong guy; Scotty was just paraphrasing Dylan Thomas.

Hamilton wrote an article in the "Parachutist" about dealing with malfunctions with that title or something similar. You are probably too young to know about it and therefore ignorant.

Exactly, you put safety precautions in place, you don't ban pain medication.

Hence, you do your best to vet the refugee applicants, like you always do. Thank you for proving the point.

If we used the same level of security as we do for OTC mess, they would have to carry vetted papers and a personal escort to just walk around.

Put them to work building a fence on your southern border. Forced labour camps and protection from all those rapists should be a welcome policy in the US.
