Um... I was not there, that was my evil twin :)

Lets see for my weekend:

1 reserve I repacked:3:1

Great times at the Halloween boogie. In typical fashion we had to start drinking early due to the bad weather. The Ohio University jumpers are all cool guys and girl. The Caveman had just a little to drink. ;)

As for the jumps, tandem Friday, Birdman suit and hop and pop on Saturday. I think I surprized some of the OU kids when I did a nice easy 180 down the beer line and swooped for a bit

Owe beer for meeting another DZ.commer (AlanaB, even if I did'nt get to jump with her. As for the golf cart rides... lets just say our pilot will be having dreams of Mermaids for a while :D

Tried to get on a sunset load friday, but missed it (darn traiffic sucks on fridays), saturday headed to the ranch, and got in 2 nice jumps in the morning, then the winds screwed me up for the rest of the day (i'll do my 100th next weekend now...hopefully:S). Had to work all day sunday (of course the weather was awful, so that made me feel a little better, about having to work today).

It was overcast till lunch yesterday, but then cleared up nicely and we worked till dark. Last night at the bonfire was fucking awesome. Today was a wash, but we cooked out late this afternoon and we are all sitting outside the campy drinking beer and bullshitting.

Went to SMB - and the FAA had the airport shut down so the airport could be used to fight the fires over at Fort Ord.

So staurday started off as a bummer and turned out to be a great day. Determined not to get shut-down for the weekend, I drove over to Hollister (18K all day) and jumped there and made a few new friends.

Spent the three first jumps working on my sit (pathetic as it is) and then met "Vinny the Anvil" (a great guy!) and I did a couple of speedstars with him and a few of the other Hollister regulars.

So - 5 Jumps
Three attempts at sits: Finally made the sit on the second and third jump... in the last 2000 feet of freefall, after some really wild "action" on two of them (go figure).

One almost successful speed star (w/4 people), and then,

One awesome successful speedstar (w/6) after sunset (but before it got dark). I opened - grabbed the rear risers and took a really slow ride down to appreciate the post-sunset view over the ocean, with the lights of Hollister just coming on...:)
And then ended this beuatiful ride with a PLF !!!B|

0: But I did drink some;).

About half of the DZ caravaned up to Wissota, WI for the weekend. 11 jumps all told. Some RW, some CRW, a hop n pop. Threw a pumpkin out of an airplane (missed the camper I was aiming for). First jump on a new canopy. First jump at a new DZ. First multi-plane shot (8-ways out of 182s). And so much more. It was fun and I am exhausted.

Oh yeah, one more thing: My Neptune crashed this weekend. Hard lockup; full stop. Last load of the day, I turned the backlight on because it was a little dark. Did a fun 2-way for a friend's 100th jump. We broke it off around 4500 and I pulled at 3000. I flew around a little and set up for my pattern. I didn't look at my altimeter again until I was on the ground. Had a nice landing in the peas. I looked at the altimeter and it said I was at 440 feet, descending at 32 ft/sec. Pressing the buttons didn't do anything. The backlight was off and stayed off. The beer light was on so I just threw it in my gear bag and headed off to the party. The next morning it was still on the same screen. Pulling the battery reset it just fine. I heard that there is a firmware update available, so I guess I'll install that just in case.

Hooknswoop trimmed the 5-inch pocket on my slider down to 3 inches, so I had to test it out on Saturday after class. My openings were about 2,000 feet with that 6-inch pocket :o - now they're down to a reasonable 1,000 feet. I have to roll the tail a little less to get to my desired 800 feet. Thanks Hook! AFF on Saturday - it was a challenge this week! It was also cold!! 24 below at altitude. I was fine until I opened, but when I grabbed toggles, my gloved hands felt like blocks of ice. bbrrrrr. Back on Sunday, but low clouds kept first load to 6,200 feet, and there weren't a lot of jumpers there to keep the King Air busy, so I didn't stick around.
Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

Went to Wissota with Indyz and about 18 others from SkyKnights, and we basically took the place over.

Hats off the folks at Wissota! These guys gave us the warmest welcome, and showed us the best time. Who says a DZ can't rock without a tubine??

Missed the camper on the pumpkin toss by about 30 feet.

Multi-Cessna loads ROCK!

Wissota people know how to party like rock stars. We loaded up the Gang Green bus Saturday night and proceded to terrorize about six different bars. Took me all day Sunday to recover, hence the reletively low jump number.

Made a bunch of very cool new friends, and will be back again many times to party with these folks!

Sarah made a bunch of cash packing this weekend, too.

I really needed a weekend like this!

Easy Does It

I owe PLFKing 2 jump tickets :0:0

On the one hand.....I'm tempted to let you renege on the bet, because you're a cool chic, and very funny.

On the other hand.....you're young, and must learn that it's a supremely bad idea to EVER bet against Michigan football. :)

Pretty fun weekend. Had lots of interesting phone calls with some dzcommers. FYI, if you wanna rent porn, call Phreezone to have him check the reviews for you otherwise you'll end up with bad porn!!

Don, I took a hard kick to my rear in rejoycing at Michigan's win/Purdues loss. I think that we are now even on the OSU/MI things. Even if we did win last year... :D

It doesn't surprise me that Val can be violent at times. I hope you kicked her back. I generally don't hold with hitting women, but there are times to make exceptions. :)

Like any good (female) dog, taunt her enough, and she'll become aggressive again.
