Highly recommend the Dirty Sanchez Boogie at Sebastian...you won't be disappointed . Just minutes from the beach too. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

I love it all.... but strangly I dig the prep on the aircraft with my good friends, there is an interesting "brotherhood" of people going up (even the tandems are part of it)... visualiztion...hand jive and the commitment to jump... I'm excited just thinking about it. Hurling myself out of a skyvan in complete relaxation is very cool too. Man I dig sydiving. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

Skydive Spacecoast in Florida still uses a King Air 200 I think...it's a fast ride. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

Pay up front and get a great deal at Deland....finish your last level and jump the rest of the day and your rig is rental free. Put money down on a rig and jump a rental without paying rental fees until you pay it off (within a reasonable amount of time, like 6 months). Not to mention you will jump from a Pac 750, Twin Otter and/or Skyvan. Don't think you can beat this deal anywhere. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

Scam..it's a form letter they send to tons of people... they refer to any product for sale as "the item". Sadly, not much is done to stop this kind of stuff. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

Ditto...look for a new DZ. I am fortunate to jump at a very newbie friendly DZ. I only have a handful of jumps, but I have been on many 3 ways, 5 ways and even a few 9 way jumps. Every time other jumpers have asked me to join them after we had been involved in conversation. They usually make me the base, but I am learning tons about RW just hanging and talking with them. IMHO... skydivers are passionate and will talk about anything to do with skydiving. Especially stories that include them or things they have learned or know well. Don't be afraid to look like a noob... everybody started at jump number 1....just ask questions about loads, containers, main sizing and canopy control etc. Also be very friendly with the office staff, packers and manifest.... Great intro...I'm a former USCF cat 3 cyclist (many years ago)... still got a very expensive frame hanging in my garage... I really miss the art and strategy of cycling and especially my old team mates, but once I did my first jump, I realized that skydiving was my gig... Like you said, the friends you make in this sport are great. I know it is winter where you are, but finding a wind tunnel to practice your skills can really give you confidence.... or maybe a few vacation days in a warm climate doing as many jumps as you can with a good coach/instructor. Only been to three of those cities, but I loved Vancover BC...just can't imagine skydiving there. We were there in the summer and it was still cold and rainy most of the time. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

They work ok until they get clogged (hair gets wrapped around the wheels and parts) or stuck in a corner...battery lasted about a year and then it was not worth a crap.... IMHO, save your money for a decent vac. Fear is the thief of dreams.....

Definitely blessed beyond my wildest expectations...incredible wife of 25 years, great family, job, home, good health and hobbies that really make me feel ALIVE!
