  1. I don't do it on either of my rigs with the semi stowless bag... I go pretty much up to the risers and any excess that is needed comes out when I take the dbag and place it into my container. I've put about 300 jumps doing this method and haven't had any problems so far.
  2. with the stowless bag do you still leave the 2 feet of excess from the risers out of the pouch on the bag? Or does that not matter with this bag?
  3. works fine for me, makes the helmet less front heavy. I use the same setup, with the rebel t3i with 18-55 lens
  4. Prices on Performance Designs canopies are increasing in 3 days (5 p.m. on Monday). All PD canopies are going up in price from $20-$90. According to chutingstar
  5. I bought from them last year, had no problems
  6. I use http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/aluminum-camera-screw-3357 with this http://www.chutingstar.com/skydive/zkulls3n-attachment-system
  7. you waited too long! Now you will have to wait till they open back up on the 4th!! I started static line at the start of winter in louisiana and weather did suck but I made it through. We are only a weekend DZ, where dallas isn't so that will help you out
  8. I jump a semi-stowless bag and love it. I will probably never go back to the original bag. I have one in my mirage and one in my wings
  9. Skydive nawlins is mostly a tandem DZ, flying a 182... occasional fun jumps ( I think) out of slidell I jump in North LA, at skydive louisiana. We fly a caravan on the weekends. Very fun small, laid back dropzone. It would be around a 3 hour drive from laffy, or he can go to spaceland which is a multi turbine DZ
  10. My mirage came with a split bag...it was standard when I bought mine, but I believe now that you only get one on request. It didn't use velcro to close like tandem rigs do, but you would match up the gromets and closed with a rubber band and make the center locking stow
  11. I have a w-11 with a pilot 150 in it. I use a v348 stowless bag and it works fine. I believe the Pilot packs a little bigger than the sabre (but don't quote me on that)
  12. My mom paid for my tandem...had some family party that night and I showed everyone else the video...they weren't too happy. 2 years later the only one who really approves is my mom. I have even been offered a good amount of money from the rest of my family members to stop jumping

I guess she is cheating on me now
  14. Go talk to DJ (or any other instructor/coach there) and they will be able to help you more than anyone on here. P.S. DJ is a sucker for root beer so I'm sure you can easily get his attention if he isn't too busy teaching a course with a bottle of that!
  15. 24...moved back home after graduating college and couldn't find a job...after I found a job I stayed a few more months until I had enough money for a down payment
  16. I jump in Louisiana and the name doesn't ring a bell. I will ask some older jumpers this weekend at the DZ if they know him. Only 3 places to jump in LA, 2 up north and 1 down south.
  17. Mine did this...I just unplugged it and tried again. It worked the next time. I will say I have had trouble with my wifi multiple times where it would freeze up with the camera on stand by and you can't do anything to it without the remote. The buttons will not work and you have to take out the battery. I recently had to send my back pac and camera to go pro and got new ones but I haven't used the wifi on it again. Rather not risk it freezing up on me and busting a tandem video
  18. does the number reset when you send in the cypress for the 4 and 8 year checks?
  19. is it a knock off brand card? They recommend Sandisk or kingston
  20. is it froze when you look at it? Mine started doing this whenever I went to the wifi back pac- I took the back pac off and it still froze. Called go pro and I sent mine off since it was still under warranty. What kind of SD card are you using?
  21. very tough to see what it is. Are you asking about the little little pieces on the 2nd picture and not the clob in the middle of the shot? I should be going on a drilling rig in 2 weeks to core a well and it will most likely have cutting of mica and I could take a picture of that to see if it looks anything like you are looking at, if it is that important to you
  22. I'll be buying some tonight...I'll be sure to give the correct info this time so y'all don't have to hunt me down to give me my prize this year!
