  1. Icarus recommends flying the crossfire at wingloads from 1.4 to 2.1. personally i would stay with the pilot until you get to that loading.

  3. i bet even a life size picture of an AAD in the window might work.

  7. since your choosing to discuss it on a public forum, can you explain it a little better? if you have to evict somebody, i would assume that means they are rentin? and that guy can obviously pay his bills. So why would he need to pick a lock to get into something he is renting.
  8. just wanted to add that my brake lines are currently not in the best shape, i feel comfortable jumping it, multiple riggers said its ok, but im well aware that im more prone to having it break given its current status.
  9. Read Ron's reply above. Sometimes shit just happens. I had multiple lines break on a canopy that had

  11. I agree, which is why I pack for myself. But I still wouldn't reward the rigger.
  12. Bottle for the rigger? I think I'd kinda want to blame him for missing that on inspection. Was it the rigger who packed it for your cut away jump?
  13. if you wanted to pull at 3500, you should have planned the breakoff alitutude at 5000. According to the SIM, the planned break off point should be 1500 feet higher then the highest planned deployment. For groups of 6 or more 2000 ft is required.
  14. id say tipping is for tandem students, not aff
  15. sounds like a plan! id suggest having your a-license, and a rig before you do that.
  16. You are correct on all your assumptions, some people live there, most are just camping. I think the trailer hook ups will run you about $300 a month.

CPI is about 25 minutes from East Granby. We are open on weekends only for the winter time. Currently 2 182s flying to 9000. Summer time we usually have a big turbine. You'll have a good time here, alot of good people at the club.
  19. the ranch pro shop was doing 50% off on all bonehead helmets, for today only.
  20. Yeah, we were discussing that in the thread linked at the end of this post. How did they describe it? ie; did they describe it as a Skydive or any of several venues? http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4001812;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread really they only showed her pick up the disc with the 1-800 sky ride on it. and flashed to a screen that i think showed hot air balloons. it wasnt mentioned after that.
