  1. Hello everyone, I know this is a really old post, but i was wondering if anyone has any general safety tips for using smoke canisters, like mount type and material, distance from foot, protection, wingsuit specific considerations, how hot it gets in freefall, etc. Thanks in advance, Pedro

    Storm

I'm flying a Storm 120 (loaded at 1.51) with my wingsuit and it's a perfect fit. Not only the openings are always soft (sometimes not perfectly on heading, but that can be from my crappy pack jobs), but any (rare!) line twists are always recoverable. And by always i mean it will keep flying straight until you get rid of them all the time. You can check an example here: https://vimeo.com/36719263 In 3 words: Greatest canopy ever.
  3. Hi all, If you need a place to log your skydiving activities please consider http://jumperr.com/ It's an extremely simple and straightforward way to have your log book online. Sorry in advance if this is not the correct place to announce this. Blue skies, Pedro
  4. Thanks for the tips. I'll definitely look for a Safire2 139 then ;)
  5. It's not that i want to move away from the pilot, it's just that it's hard to find a 135 Pilot in Portugal and this xf2 is almost new :) What do you mean by "twitchiness"?
  6. Hi all, I'm considering downsizing AND changing canopy models, from a Pilot 150 to a Crossfire2 139. I am currently lightly loaded (1.1:1 on the Pilot) and will be 1.23:1 on the XF2. Sounds like a safe transition, but i want to hear the experts' opinions ;) Appreciate any comments and thoughts. Blue skies.
  7. I'm using a Python-based web framework called Django. It's pretty awesome for rapid development :) Thanks, but I have to say that a weight belt helped me a bit. I was having a little trouble arching in the beginning. The parachute felt like a gigantic rock on my back (it was a 270 canopy after all and I'm skinny ;)).
  8. I have to recheck if openID login is still working fine, after some changes I did to the login mechanism. Thanks for letting me know.
  9. Thanks a lot for your help, brettski74. I will for sure update the DZs you mentioned and that one sentence in the homepage will definitely help to clear some confusion about the location (yes, I'm using IP information, currently, but planning on eventually also using the new location APIs that some browsers already implement). Again, thanks for the input :)
  10. I saw jumplog.net but to be honest I found it to be too, I don't know, techie :) I really would love a simpler way to keep track of my jumps, hence developing jumperr :) Maybe I should look into getting data from skydiving devices directly into the website, that would be cool. Thanks for the inherent suggestion ;) Blue skies.
  11. Hi all, Ever since I started skydiving I felt that there should be a way to share my jump events with my friends, if anything to compare progression and attach videos and photos to my jumps. In a sentence, to keep it all neatly organized in one spot I could point my friends to. The problem was that I never found that place. So I decided to build my own. I would like to ask anyone who might have interest in keeping an online jump log to take a look at http://jumperr.com and hopefully contribute with some suggestions on how to improve it. You can take a look at my profile here: http://jumperr.com/profiles/nocivus/ (To actually check my jump log you need to be registered, but that only takes 2 minutes anyways :)). Thanks and blue skies! Pedro
  12. Hi, I have that exact same camera and wanted to get some wide angle lens for it. The one you have (.3X) seems great. What brand is it, and do you know where I can find it? Thanks in advance, Pedro
