  8. Why wouldn´t the glide ratio be the same as the canopy always flies into the wind? In other words, If one could plot the intersecting flight vectors of 2 canopies involved in a collision, the vectors, glides and positions would remain unaffected by the direction of the wind in relationship to flight direction would they not? 20. I was helping a friend today and did a reline on a Velocity. Was having probs. Those dang short tails to fingertrap. Get the fid inserted and then screw the tail in on 1st go or take a fingertrap wire and work it up from the bottom while trying to not exit the line on the way up. So I came up with this: The "FloppyEyedFid"! Screw it once, pass it through once, Trapped! Pass it again and again with no screwing, only trapping involved. Cypres pullup cord, cut to 8" (20cm) doubled over and ends melted together to get a decent hold in the screwing on of the fid. What do you think? Take care, space
  21. Those dang geosynchronous satellites, They'll get ya every time! Take care, space
  22. And a perfect hitching post. Internal handles are the best IMHO. I don't wingsuit but I have a internal floating in my PC. a 35mm film pot. Still had a knot in my bridle on one occasion but it was after opening. One needs to pack the PC in a way that the bridle is extracted rather than presented. Combine this with a fast PC deployment and that would give one the best scenario for FF knot avoidance. Hope this helps. Take care, space

  24. I could not watch the video. They went edit crazy with scene changes, made me dizzy But thanks for the rant. I actually don't understand the "Extreme" tag. I never did anything that I considered extreme by me. I also dislike references to adrenaline. It makes me want to puke. Adrenaline I mean, physically. Heaving while unstowing the brakes on a tight jump http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zg2xL5BeMFE. Then repacking and doing the jump again so I can actually enjoy the jump without the adrenaline side effects. I prefer to stay away from extreme stuff. I guess I am kinda normal. Take care, space
