There is your prob. Take care and 1 beer please. space

Though I agree with your statement. You have defined a line. Where did you get this deffy at? What would be an adequate substitute for the wire that wouldnt cross the line? a feather? a whip, belt, switch, baseballbat, tea pitcher... etc? Take care, space

who made a blank statement?

Darius11, There is a whole lot of knowledge available to anyone who wishes to learn. There are a lot better motivational things one can do without resorting to CP. Less side effects also. Pardon me but your knowledge about CP seems to me to be quite primitive though I cant vouch for my accuracy on this. It can be as simple as: Wow, if I present it this way to the child he gets it immediately where as with CP it would take about ten ass-whuppins. Take care, space

How do I not get angry about it? I am not angry with you. Its just that the lack of knowledge amazes me. Let me guess. Your parents did the same. if Corporal Punishment works, then why did it screw me up so bad? Or maybe you were unlucky that you had to deal with a lot of s**t. How could you know that? You could see their life without the Corporal Punishment also and compare? Are you God? God is exactly the role one plays when dishing out punishment. Where does one draw the line with punishment? Well, in my experience, They are playing the god role. so there is no line. it goes from a slap to I will beat you until you conform. Can you see the dilemma here? Take care, space

Wow! Just Wow! I had an upbringing similar to Livendie. Corporal Punishment not only didnt work on me, It seems to have screwed my life up. I almost killed my stepfather for it (I was 14). I have no family values. I Know next to nothing about raising children or being a part of a family. I have violent tendencies when I see adults hit children and have to actually run away so i dont end up in trouble. And this is only the tip of the iceberg. So Yes, Corporal Punishment works just fine. Like a charm. I wish you wisdom. take care, space

The Z-hills Double Fatal Speculation Thread
base283 replied to base283's topic in Safety and Training
tk, this is a speculation thread, maybe next time i will make it more clearer with the thread title. Speculation happens. I thought I was being helpful by creating it and keeping it away from the incidents thread. If this thread bothers you, then dont click on it. Rather simple. AFAIK, this website or even the internet was not created to satisfy your [tkhayes] idea of what should or should not be discussed. Having investigated fatalities also, i understand the emotional turmoil you may be going thru though this is speculation. I forgive you and emotional posts on this incidence. I wish you some quick healing, We need the old tkhayes back. Take care, space -
The Z-hills Double Fatal Speculation Thread

What if the Student grabbed the instructor say, at the bottom end of the dive......? It could easily answer most of the points brought up and the nearness of the pair. Take care, space -
But what happens if they (meds) findure a cure for death? "Hey man, I need my eyes back, anybody seen my eyes? I need em. Hey man???." take care, space

Why dont you do it? Just sayin. take care, space

I would venture to say that it is the collapsing mode of the PC, not the cocking. A person cocking the PC would have to really try to friction burn their way thru the bridle... What is the keel line made of? It could be that the line was replaced with something different and has different surface texture and a higher melting point than the outer. Take care, space

Most BASErs prefer well maintained rigs these days. So, Are you trying to unload a crap rig on someone? ;-) Take care, space

FWIW, I am a parachute rigger, I work on paragliders also. and line stretching works IMHO on the polymids as opposed to aramids like kevlar, Dacron seems to be the most receptive. It has to do with the molecular structure. Aramid molecules connect head on whereas Polymids are angled giving it an elongation property. I had an asymmetrical opening on a BASE Canopy that knocked the lines out of spanwise trim by over an inch and stretched them back out. But this was a basic 7 cell design based to something similar to a Django Pegasus canopy. If one is dealing with a critical profile I would reline it. Remember the Nova canopy? The profile was very sensitive to trim variations. Some of the class 3 (expert competition paragliders) are relined after only a few flights. more to do with line wear (0.6mm upper gallerie cascades) though but it negates the need to stretch them out. A lightly loaded 7 cell wont be affected much but a highly loaded swoop canopy could fold on ya more easily. The effect is exponential due to the speed/wingloading in the equation. Ian does have a point but a student Manta wont care but sometimes you have to trim them due to the regulations of rigging in some countries. I hope this helps. take care though. space

Hmmm... Interesting point. Please explain the last global warming then. Game on. Take care. space

How is Bill's crap getting from California to Ethiopia? Its global you silly. I could have used the Mississippi delta region or the recent s struck by a hurricane but i didnt want such an interesting thread about misinformed people to get seconded to SC. ;-) Take care, space

From your link which validates exactly what I posted with exception to crapping in fresh water. Take care and thanks for validating my comment. space

OK, I challenge you to post relevant and reliable data to back up your claim. Are you still hung up on the hockey stick graph from Gore's video? That has been debunked. the CO2 rise was about 800yrs later than the warming trend according to the ice core samples that you speak of as proof. If you really want to contribute the ecology of the world, Quit crapping in fresh water. In places like Ethiopia, people walk miles for the same clean water you crap in. If one wants to do something, then do it. No half assed crap. If you do not crap in fresh water, respect and I stand down. Take care, space

If I understand your question..... He was spotting the Landing Zone from under canopy. Not the Drop Zone from the Balloon. Stratos Crew calculated the LZ and send crews out there (during the ascent) who deployed smoke for him to land by. take care, space
