Ok, I found a cute picture to put on my profile icon for the forums.For some reason it will not change it from my current image to the new one.It fits the size criteria,so thats not it.I've tried doing controlR to reset the image (since both images are from the same file and document etc.) so thats not it either. There are several DZs in the Dallas area. I'd suggest SD Dallas or if you want a 182 DZ theres Eagle Flight. I did my first jump there and the DZO is pretty nice. Haven't heard much about the ones out in west TX though.I'm at Skydive Aggieland down in Bryan,but that'd be a long drive for you.I'm about the same distance away from Aggieland as from the Dallas DZs so its not too bad. I've been to Dyess AFB..its a nice place except its out in the middle of no where. Have fun! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

I finally got the chance to see Triple X last night and I loved it. What a crock of $%*# !!! She thinks she was mistreated b/c they didnt provide an interpreter,yet she jumps 3 TIMES!!!! If it were that big a deal about the "oh I didnt feel comfortable w/o an interpreter" crap then why in hell did she make herself uncomfortable by doin it 3 times?!!!! Sounds to me like she just wants to screw someone outta $$$ IMHO. Also to answer an earlier question: yes,there are some DZs here in Texas that are starting to provide jump material and training in Spanish and as far as I know,a few other languages too. It does tend to become a wardrobe after awhile. (I think I'm still safe b/c I only have about half a dozen.) As for talkin about jumping...I dont think I'm gonna stop that anytime soon. Heh,my family is like "Is there anyway we can get you to stop talking about skydiving?" My response: "Sure,give me money to jump and you wont hear me talking about it b/c I'll be at the DZ doing it." hehehe! So far, that has actually worked and bought me about 5 jumps now. I wear my closing pin necklace b/c it keeps me close to the sport when I'm not actually jumping or at the DZ. Like most people I too have caught myself daydreaming and playing with my necklace. Its also a cool way to recognize a fellow jumper when it seems you are all alone. Some buy one after a specific jump that was memorable like a 100th jump,or a particularly cool jump...maybe a record setting or something.I was given mine when I finally got to do my first jump after a month of waiting.Its a reminder of good memories and better times. Well,I do understand the misconception that most skydiving guys could be seen as the carefree rogue,but I dont think that all of them are.I've learned that theres always an exception to everything in life. I myself wish I could find a great skydiving guy. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

Skydiving affordable? HA! HA! HA! LMAO! It might get somewhat cheaper,but everyone has their own definition of affordable.To most, skydiving doesnt fit into that catogory.....IMHO. But hey? its worth every bit!If not, you probably wouldnt still be here right?

As most of you know,I'm an ISP student (Integrated Student Program---tandems and shorter AFF course). Well,I completed my tandems last weekend and they went very well, I think. Yesterday I went through the transition course from tandem to AFF(modified ground school w/a cool coach!) and today I jumped with my own rig, and my very cool JM.Woohoo! I didnt do as well as I wanted(I'm a perfectionist),but my JM said I did very well.So on to bigger and better things. Just though I'd give those interested an update.
