  4. just find a rigger you trust, use them as an escrow? account.... have the person send the rig to them, and you give them your $, when the rigger checks it out and gives it the ok, then he sends the seller your $ by far the fastest easiest way to do business Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

  10. im deaf in one ear already, and i use a regular foam earplug in the good ear up to altitude, before the fullface goes on i take the plug out. ive been jumping like this for a while with no problems. i use an optima2 audible and turn it around so the beeper hole points away from my ear. i have made the mistake of putting the audible in facing my ear and damn that sucked! being deaf in one ear makes your good ear compensate for the deaf one, so i have super sensative hearing in the one good one i still got. 13. Wow. I'd suggest getting your head out of your ass long enough to figure out how to use your mobile device well enough that you can access free forums without having to bitch like a 12 year old naive jackass when you don't do it right. its called suggestions and feedback for a reason, i know how to use my device just fine, its the "adds" that get in the way of using the free forums, hence the reason for my post. but thanks for the peanut gallery comment, it helps us all. 17. Jumping a wingsuit is a much higher risk than a normal jump. Some people choose not to expose themselves to the risks. Actually, it's the mostly incorrect perception that jumping a wingsuit carries a much higher risk. Do you mind explaining? My limited knowledge is that you are adding a fairly significant risk by adding the suit. Very happy to have my views updated. I just mean that a lot of people seem to think that wingsuiting is way more dangerous than it really is. It's really not that big of a deal. It's adding extra risk in the same way that doing anything except a flat and stable solo is adding extra risk. i dont see how you can think like this? wingsuits in low tail aircraft ARE dangerous if you dont have proper training on exit. miami banned all ws jumps from their plane because of tail strikes. pac750, kingair, caravans. all of these planes carry MORE RISK than any belly/ff exit stable or not. open your eyes. you ever seen someone with bloodshot eyes for weeks from a flatspin without a wingsuit? doubt it... come pull time belly/ff your pud is right there, big ws you gotta have a plan to get to the pud, or you will be hunting for it. what about your flight path? all the sudden you travel 5-6 miles on a flight instead of falling down the pipe. landing off in a wingsuit happens more often than a belly/ff jump, does that not make it more of a "RISK"? i understand once you are a ws'er you learn ways to fix these issues, but it is more of a "risk" whether you are concious of it or not. 18. being from further south florida (cape coral) i would definatly get the stainless, no questions asked. i jump a wings rig without the mega expensive back pad or leg pads and i love my rig, ive jumped plenty of other wings rigs with the space foam back and leg straps and didnt notice much difference. jmho Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

  20. I just received the mount prototype, and I'm pretty stoked about it. I've couldn't wait to share a few photos--I hope that's alright. I thought I'd get the prototype made out of aluminum instead of plastic, since materials are a small part of production costs on this one. The results are, I think, stunning. The top of the mount is basically a shallow dish machined precisely to the shape of the FlySight's base. The bottom of the mount has been machined to fit the curvature of an "average" helmet. To give you an idea, it's a little more curved than the GoPro mount, which I've noticed tends to be a bit flat for the back of most helmets. The mount is secured to the helmet with 3M VHB tape, which forms a secure enough connection that I had to pry it off with a large screwdriver. A piece of double-sided Velcro passes freely under the mount, so it can be removed if the FlySight isn't in place--leaving only a minimal platform stuck to the helmet. The big thing I wanted to test with this prototype is how securely the Velcro holds the FlySight. Even though the strap doesn't look very tight, it's very difficult to get the FlySight to move at all within the mount. It's possible to slide it out the side, but you have to brace against the mount and push very hard with your thumbs.. The other upside of this design is essentially zero line snag potential. I suppose you could get a line under the mount if you displaced some of the VHB tape, but, again, you'd really have to work at it. I'm going to do a little more testing with the mount myself, and then I'm hoping to do a production run early in April. Any feedback would be appreciated! Michael i like the idea, just not too sure on the mounting with 3m tape. have you considered a few taper bores for some screws to mount to the helmet with? kinda like the liquid flatlock, but no top plate, just holes that will be in each corner taper bored so the screw head sits flush with where the flysight mounts to the bracket? just an idea man. looks good! 23. just this weekend i had 2 out, because of improper gear checks/ lounging in the back of the super otter. i was wingsuiting, sat at the bulkhead by the pilots, the tandem instructor asked me to go to the tail of the plane because it would be easier for everyone, so i complied. i was lounging out layed back, got a pin check before exit, but my main pin and pilot were checked but no reserve pin. so i exit, have a great flight, pull my main at 3500' open at 3000ish then i feel my reserve hit me in the right shoulder, look over and see my reserve lines over my right wing, reserve still in the freebag, i pulled in my reserve still in the bag, unzipped the wingsuit and stuffed my reserve in my wingsuit with the pilot chute trailing. then landed uneventfully thank god! so be safe out there and give good gear checks, and demand people check your gear before every jump. 25. wow that sounds really scary and dangerous, i am glad i have never been on such an event! luckily there are organizers like shorb and callantine from the flockuniversity or raise the sky for example where you don´t have to worry about something like that. pretty sure this event was organized by shorb and callentine, i am the supposed 30 jump wonder, (actually 60) that took out spot on the first 25way attempt. i came in way tooo hot, hit the brakes and sunk too low, flared to get back up and hit spot. (Sorry Spot!) i apologised then multiple times and still feel bad about hitting him. i didnt ask to be on this "record" i was invited. i am sorry my skills werent up to your expectations, but i was not the only person there to take someone out, there were a few. again i am very sorry about taking spot out, i wasnt aware anything was damaged or your jaw was hurt! i sincerly apologise! the organizers did speak with me about the incident and i almost packed up my shit and went home. i decided to stay around and if i got cut from the jump that would have been my destiny, but it was not. we got the record and after the one mistake i flew my slot the rest of the competition with no problems. no red or yellow cards. i have the video from the jump and the crazy off landing in a trailer park, everyone landed off! i will post it soon. sorry again dse Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
