they are the dzos of my home dz, great people, very knowledgable, and they have been in the sport for years! and i dont know who said they are not close to any dropzones... clewiston, sebastian, and zhills are less than 2 hrs away. everyone at our dz jumps wings, they get great deals on them. check out skydive swflorida. in puntagorda, fl Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

Alternative Licensing Options / Pressure Problems
roostnureye replied to jajunk's topic in Safety and Training
i am deaf in my left ear and have had issues with clearing it, try clearing them under canopy multiple times, and eat some sudafed, (the good stuff) that they make you sign your life away to get. i had tubes in my ears as a kid and its really not that bad, just dont get water in them! the best advice has been offered, go to a skydiving ENT doc! another thing that has helped me in severe circumstances is actually massaging the estrucian tube, its under your ear and goes twords your jaw bone then down. you can push on it and hear pressure changes especially if it is blocked. give it a try with the sudafed and clearing under canopy. i just got a suunto core anniversary edition and am very happy with it, you can actually get some good info at chutingstar, they put the suuntos in a pressure chamber with other altis and test them. they claim at 20k there is minnimul differences between them, i like mine for climbing A's, i can zero it on the ground, lock the function and not worry about it. it even has a function to enter the "climb" height and it will tell you how long it will take you to get to the top in real time. refreshes every second too. just dont set the alti/barometer profile to automatic and you will be fine. although my alti is not used while in freefall. I own an rbird as my go to wingsuit, I would bet your head position is what is causing your instability.... do ALLOT of practice touches on the ground, get used to where the pud is before you jump the suit again, when you do get back up in the air, try pushing the wingsuit a little steeper of a glide (head low)... I had some issues stalling the suit out in the beginning. this is from lack of forward drive. I solved the problem by pushing my head down, looking at the ground, not the horizon.... this is by no way any kind of coaching, this is what helped me solve my problem. get a wingsuit coach and have them shoot some video of you and post it here, you will get all kinds of feedback Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

Post accident depression and doubt...
roostnureye replied to guineapiggie101's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
i broke my leg on a low turn when i had 60 jumps, i decided i had to go back to the dz and learn more about how i ended up where i did. its amazing how much you learn when you cant jump but want to! i ended up jumping with the boot(months later) just put a big ass sock over it. you talk about a dzo giving you the stink eye! your passion for the sport will be the driving factor for you to heal, if the sport got ahold of you, which it sounds like it did. hope you heal fast and get the urge to learn more, every jump is an adventure and learning experience! i learned out of a 182, my method is slightly different, for solos i dive out at the tail with everything closed, once under the fuselauge ill open the right wing first, that puts me basically under the plane flying in the same direction, for two/three ways we will put one guy on the strut floating with arms together closed tail (lock feet together), the next guy will be on the step holding the strut with both hands and keeps everything together and just steps back off the step(you see the step really close to your face! as you exit) , and a guy in the door diving out doing a 45 after exit. on my ffc i was told to ball and fall, thats where the first method was figured out. Micron, Wings or Mirage?....who to pick....?
roostnureye replied to jbane3's topic in Gear and Rigging
I own a wings rig and love it, but I'll have to say that the new voodoo rigs are the most comfortable hands down Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121 -
brazil is the absolute worst about theivery in the mail. I hope he gets his gear back, but I would never ever trust my rig with those scumbags. most people wont even insure packages going to brazil because theft is so rampant there. good luck. I wish there was one specific way to learn sitfly
roostnureye replied to Cinders's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
go to a tunnell, get a coach, you wont learn bad habits, and you wont waste time if sitflying is your goal. bottom line. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121 -
i like the morpheous helium, it has 2 closing pins, a nice option to use the floorplate closing loop to lower the profile of the rig. its lighter than any skydiving rig on the market, and dosent need a reserve. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121

anywhere from 60-80mph usually in the usa, a little less on the other side of the pond... if you want to practice flocking by yourself focus on hitting the brakes and not popping up. Flock University FWC / ZFlock B.A.S.E. 1580 Aussie BASE 121
