Here are our Rescue and one-half... Buddy is our best friend ever from the local shelter. We picked him up about a year after our Shepard mix had to be put down. We did not want to "replace" O'Neil, but are so glad we met Buddy. Buddy is "The Jester" of the house Our "half" rescue was not from a shelter, he was part of a litter from my brother-in-law. Go down to visit, came home with a cat. So, Tony2 is named after the brother... Tony 2 is "The King" of the house (well, he thinks so) After about a year and a half, they are almost friends now. Or, at least Tony2 is tolerant of Buddy edited: to try and work out the inline code - I suck at this stuff Then I check that In-Line photos don't work in Bonfire... Yep, probably a good idea. Great Job!!! Keep up the hard work... This time of year is tough, allow yourself to "relax" a little, but keep balanced with exercise... It also kinda depends on where "here in California" is for you... I'm in the Central Valley, and it is 30 minutes to my DZ. If you are on the Central Coast, you may even be able to hop over to Taft. If you are south of Sanata Maria, then Lompoc is definitely the place - heck, I used to drive over there for work at the DZ. If there are some jumpers at your DZ that have what you are thinking about, go ahead and ask to try it on. Most don't have a problem with it - but start with questions about their helmet first. They may even offer. Heck, I've even let a couple people jump mine if they were actually serious about it... The views are not near as nice (I worked in SB for a couple years after the Paso Robles DZ closed), but there is the Wind Tunnel. Go look up the Skydiving Duck cartoons - they will be a great read for you.. There is also Elsinore near there for a little different vibe. Go have fun... Plan a trip into the wind tunnel, it can help a bunch. My son just finished his AFF these last two weekends (Started the 3rd and finished [level 8] on the 11th)... I used to chew tobacco and the only thing that worked to help me quit was the patches. I tried the gum and it just wasn't cutting it.. I remember putting the first patch on and just feeling much better - then followed the taper off program. That was in 2001 - have not had a dip since.. I'm in about the same boat Rick... I bought my canopy at about 1.1 wing loading... Through the years I seem to have had a "natural" progression to a higher wing loading on the same canopy... Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

I love this stuff. I remember waking up my 4-year old at 3 am for one of the meteor showers and having to bundle him up warm and drive to the 4-lane north of Clovis to get above the fog.. Had to let him know early that dad is gonna drag him out to see stuff like this. I agree with Dave on the instructor not needing to throw in the barrel roll.. However, the 2nd instructor did a GREAT JOB with Austin!!! That is a perfect demo for flying your own body to stability and you don't need to over-control the student! She was doing all the basics; swimming, kicking AND trying to go fetal in the same jump Her TI did a great job.. So, Uncle Bruce, next time you see the TI, tell him good job and thanks... It's wired for the LED to come on when the camera is on. Now, for that to be a "positive" indication; you have to set the camera up in one-button mode. So, when you turn on the camera, it is shooting video. If you have the standard buttons set, the LED will tell you the camera is on (because it is), but you still may not be recording, or you could still be in photo mode. So, the one-button mode is the way this LED confirms you are filming. This is a Go-pro 30-pin male plug (kit), the LED is wired with a resistor, the power is picked up off pin #24 and the ground is off pin #9.
