I guess that's me. Haven't jumped any other crossbraced canopies til I got my Sensei last Sept.(last prototype before the Aerodyne deal) And so far I love it. Openings are smooth and not too seeking( 600-700 ft.) It flies awesome, front riser pressure is less than my Sam, and it will dive as long as I want. It has lots of power on the bottom end and I can still shut it down on no wind days. I only have about 25 jumps on it so far so I'm not pushing it to the max yet. Well this guy was in bed with his wife and they like to play fart football. The guy works up this fart that was long and loud, then his wife said I can do better than that. So she works one up and lets it fly. It was longer and louder than his so she scores 6 points. In round 2 she goes first and only manages a squeeker. Well he works really hard on the next one. I don't have an Aerodyne version, but I do have the latest version that Brian made me (101) in Sept 08 before the Aerodyne deal was announced. I 've only got 17 jumps on it so far (I don't jump in the winter up here in the great white north in winter) So far the openings are great. Soft and very little seeking, with no long snivel. It opens in about 600-700 ft. flies and lands great with lots of power in the flair. Did I say it was REALLY FAST!!!!! I have been a believer in Brians designs for years (my last canopy was a Sam136) and this is going to be another winner. Not having jumped a Velo I can't compare the 2 but will get some of my Velo buddies to put some jumps on it and let you know. I had my first packing lesson after my first jump, and it didn't cost a dime. I think it was because the instructors didn't want to pack 5 student rigs at the end of the day. When all they wanted was that cold beer. I was kind of nervous the next day when another first jump student was suited up with the rig I had packed the night before. But it was all good. And jumped my own pack job within 5 jumps. There are lots of great people in this sport who are more than happy to pass on information they have gathered over years and decades in this sport. So ask your instructors, riggers and packers.( when they aren't stressed from a long days work) and you will pick it up fast. Beer always helps!!! I'll stick with Scientific theories. Science uses repeatable experiments and observations to explain why things in nature are the way they are. Science is open to new theories based on these experiments and observations that better explain what we see in nature. That is why they are called theories. Some theories have been accepted as fact. ie.electicity, gravity, evolution. Whereas religion offers no room for alternate explainations of how things work and only offers its followers the option to believe on faith that things are the way they are because that is how God made them. Religion offers no proof that God exists. Only that one must believe and have faith that God created everything and if you don't believe or are questioning these teachings then you will burn in hell. Religion came about as a way for ancient man to explain the unexplained natural world. (lighning, earthquakes, rain, etc.) Then religion is used to control the masses and keep power in the hands of the few who purport to have the ability to communicate with God and know what is the master plan. That's definately not the attitude at my DZ. The BASE guys at our DZ often pack in the hanger ( usually at the end of the day because they are going jumping that night) and no one has ever said anything bad about it or been told that it's not appropriate.
