alright i know that this is going to come off as very insensitive but whatever if he was going at the speed limit whos fault would the accident have been? in ireland if your dog or cat or cow is on the road and someone crashes into it at any speed it is the animal owners fault not the drivers and the owners have to pay damages to the driver in ireland if you are on a road and speeding and someone pulls out in front of you and there is an accident it is still the person who puleld out in front of you's fault and they still have to pay you damages. if the police want to prosectue you for speeding fair enough but it dosnt cahnge the fact that the person pulling out in front of you caused the accident now im not saying this guy is innocent and shouldnt be in prison and im not saying that he should get any money form the parents BUT if the parents were doing their job the kid would not have been cycling in a busy road without a helmet(not that the helmet would have made a difference but it shows the further negligence of the parents) they share at around 50% of the blame imo and ten years is a ridicolously long sentence for what is still essentially an accident, unless of course he is a habitual offender and has been done for dangerous driving and speeding in the past

its a bit of a non issue, as you are irish i assume you agree that this is nothing like a majority of people but an ignorant few? the people who support the likes of celtic because its a 'catholic team' and who take offense to a flower that is meant to honor the dead(even irish dead) are the type of people who dont deserve any air time at all most people in the north are moving on form their prejudices and divides and will continue to do so despite this ignorant minority. im catholic according to my birth cert and from the south and i couldnt care less what the brits were to commemorate their past, just like i couldnt care less about what their goverment says about any issue that is not related to ireland and jsut like i dont care about anything got to do with their monarchy as far as muslims are concerned, the islamic terrorists are a threat to the entire world, the catholic v protestant problems are only a risk to ireland, northern ireland and britain. also its in its descendency(is that a word???) one more genreation and it will be a very very few die hards keeping the ignorance going, two and it will be gone (and more then likely the north will be part of the republic or at least its own independant country). islamic fundamentalism appears to be in the ascendancy so it gets more attention

I usually place my right knee/leg where the warninglabel is. If you dont move to much it should keep things where they should be. yep there are obviously ways to do it safely i did it that way for hundreds of packjobs with no problems but i did notice that the nose was a always a bit looser and the slider a bit more messy and needed fixing more often using that method then regular s-folds so i teach regular s-folds and only advise reverse s-folds if they are seriously having trouble with controlling the fabric

practicing using your knees and chest to control the material at all times is what will help you most reverse s folds are a good way too but i quickly went back to regular sfolds as i can keep better control of the slider but thats just me practice, depending were you are in the states you are going to have at least one weather day in the next two weeks at the dz, practice packing it 10 times in a row, just up until the point its in the bag and the locking stows are done at the very least this will speed you up and give you more time to work on being careful bagging it it took me a full season of packing before i wasnt too 'scared' attempting to pack brand new tandem canopies and another full season before i knew they werent going to kick my ass ever again the best solution is practice everyother solution has some downsides

I think it can tell if it's a female by the wingbeats, but not if it has malaria. Only females carry the malaria virus, but the system would kill all females that it detects. that could be it alright its been a while since i read about it and saw the video, i thought that the mosquito was obviously affected by malaria aswell and that affected its wing beats but i could have just made that up

he is from the city were i go to university quite the success story, if you consider a competition like mr world a success but seems like a pretty nice guy however this is pretty embarassing im just glad it didnt happen at either of the two irish dz's at 150 skydives he probably should have just went to his reserve instead fo 'jiggling around the bag' if i ever see him around uni or around limerick ill be sure to ask him :p

id tend to agree having worked on a dropzone for 3 seasons i would say far far less sub 1000 jump jumpers would voluntarily get on a load knowing it was only going to 2K sure from what iv seen most of them never ever do 'hop + pops' from 7K 5,500 or 3,500 not to mind 2K

i find staff dogs are very careful but fun jumper or tandem dogs, understandably, dont have a clue a loud 'can you please NOT stand on the LIFESAVING equipment' aimed at the person who is obliviously standing on the drogue or pilot chute usually sorts out the problem for a day at least

I think it's socio-economic more than anything else. Cocaine- your lawyer gets you rehab. Crack- your public defender gets you 3-5 years on a plea bargain. as far as i know there is a small chemical difference aswell between coke and crack also that study is about two years old and it was weighted to take into account more or less users the guy who commisioed was subsequently fired when he recommended the declassification of lsd as a result of the findings of this very study i believe there is a much longer article explaining each drug in detail if anyone cares

i probably wouldnt voluntarily get on a load that i knew ws only going to 2K or 2.5K but i wouldnt have a problem getting out at that height if i as on a load and the pilot all of a sudden said thats all we could get i started doing static line from 3K and sometimes a bit lower so i dont mind it really but i definitely know people who ahve aff progression and their lowest exit has been their 5,500 hop and pop as a student im not sure how i feel about their opinions i guess its personal choice but im glad that in an emergency situation between 2 and 3 grand all that would be running threw my head would be get out safely and not oh shit we are 2k and i gotta get out

what was the reserve pilot chute doing at the time? from my understanding of the skyhook design(which is basic) if the pilot chute creates more drag then the main at any time during the deployment then the skyhook will disconnect from the reserve bridal was the reserve pilot chute inflated or doing anything funky out to one side? i dont have enough experience to know either way im just curious

I don't want to bring up politics in here, but honestly the burden felt by small companies could be dealt with by having better laws / support. This way it wouldn't be all young women who are discriminated against and all small businesses who are exposed to financial risks. Unfortunately, it's a vicious cycle IMO... Give people limited options / resources and low-level jobs / unfair salaries, and they will be forced to screw the system, which will encourage people to discriminate against them, which will encourage screwing with the system, et cetera, et cetera. yep i agree, the current laws worked for what they were intended to do at the time but need to be adjusted for the current climate TOO MUCH POLITICS IN THE BONFIRE ARRRGGGH i think you should put pictures of your boobies on all applications everywhere just saying

we probably have the same laws in some cases rightly so imo it certainly isnt fair for the individual women who ahve no intention of screwing a company over by getting pregnant right after or during their probation but it is totally reasonable for a small to medium sized business to not hire someone they think might do this as it is simply far too much of a financial burden for them imo you should have to be employed by the company for 18 -24 months before you should be entitled to maternity leave and i think men should be able to avail of some paternity after this time aswell its the ridicolous laws that force a company to discriminate in this way imo

besides the picture and the number of kids the rest os standard on a cv here in ireland i dont really see a problem with any of it, id never include a picture and as a guy i doubt they care how many kids i have as im not gonna be able to take paternity leave anyway if i was a business owner i would wanta s much info as possible
