  1. I think bossman may have bugs... I can't see any reviews at all. DZ says "3 Reviews" but where?! And click on "write review" and it just looks at me silly
  2. I like keg. "A keg of skydivers" Or maybe orgy. "An orgy of skydivers" Orgy works - a bunch of people, having a good time, doing something that's generally not accepted as normal (whether that be skydiving or just going someplace for dinner and trying to NOT get kicked out of the resturant)
  3. telemarketers are fun to play with if you're bored. Just remember when you're talking to them, to just randomly shout "SHAMA LAMA DING-DONG!" into the phone, then turn away from the phone a little and say "Shut up! I'm on the phone!"

    Sabre2

    Sabre2

Wonder how long the demo list is.. also wonder if I can trade in my relatively new original Sabre on one :P
  6. I would have loved to see the water cannon swoopers! If anyone's got a video clip of that, let me know! Sounds like an awesome time! (now gimme my Casa back!! j/k - mi casa es su casa)
  7. ugh. unless we're talking about something different, I really don't like those velcro pouches (although they are a little better than the ones that relied on elastic to keep it in there) The velcro one works great as long as you don't take your audi in and out a lot, the pouch gets too fuzzy (for lack of a better word) and the velcro doesn't work so well. I REALLY like the pouch that has the clip (a clip like the one on the chip strap) over it. So much, that when I took off my chin strap (to replace with a chin cup) I attached the clip around my velcro pouch - I'm not sure if that made any sense... here's a picture (not a good one, but you can kinda see the velcro still there over the width of the pouch and the clip over top of that onve the length. Works pretty good!
  8. pyke - Renegades of Funk Lew - there's a lot by Greenday that work pretty good... Good Riddence, King for a Day, Jaded (now playing for the raft dive - and yes, that's the one shane sent you the picture of )

    SAD news

Zennie - when you say "incident reports" everyone thinks of actualy real reports, such as those at http://www.skydivenet.com/fatalities/ no one thinks of news articles as incident reports. I think that's where the confusion is here. Anyway... thoughts and prayers to Ally's family and friends. If anyone has accurate info, please share it. It's hard to get anything from the crap that gets posted by Tantrum and Jimmy on wreck-dot.
  10. I wonder if this is one of those things where Macaulay and Michele actually like each other, so they pick on each other alot. And one day, she finds out he's a pretty cool guy, and he finds out she's a pretty cool girl.... hmmm.
  11. I don't think that incident can really apply here. The jumper that hit the plane in that case was almost last out for a large (30 way?) formation. Everyone can't stop and look in that case.
  12. Congrats on that! BTW - Did you see Nati's vid of the raft dive? She's looking into the raft and you can HEAR her say "Hey! How ya' doin'?" Great stuff. I was telling Gracey about our rrw (raft relative work) idea. He thinks we could pull it off. What was this thread about? Oh yea, movies. Watch the skydiving part of Fandango again, all they stuff the crazy guy is saying as he scribbling on the board is pretty technically accurate! Cutaway had some good footage, but it was way too hacked up, some of the shots made no sense, there had to be something removed in a lot of places. Point Break - decent movie, but skydiving stuff was a little funny. They exit at 3k, whats-his-name debates for a few seconds, then chases the bad guy down, then they have time to argue about who's going to pull... 90 second freefall from 3,000? Of course, with any movie having to deal with something you know a lot about, there's going to be problems. I'm sure Days of Thunder accurate depicts stock car racing, and Lethal Weapon is a true representation of detective work.
  13. http://www.avweb.com/qotw/qotwform.cgi?0127 Comments? It's funny how a bunch of the pilots call us "crazy"... hey, when they develop a "reserve engine" for those things, I'll think pilots are less suicidal.
  14. I've got a Sabre 190 loaded about 1.2 All I do is roll the nose 6 & 6 and shove the center cell into it. Make sure the slider's quartered good. It has yet to spank me (about 50 jumps on it) and I've pretty much asked it to a couple times (try packing in the grass with a stiff breeze and hurrying because you can hear thunder, not to mention new zp is a pain) but all my openings have been very smooth

    Night JUMPED

Is that a beerable offense? Someone check the rules....
  16. The feeling you get flying through the sky at over 120 mph = priceless (someone had to do it)
  17. Here's the email I've been getting for new PMs ---- You have received a private message on the forums at Dropzone Forums. You can go to /cgi-bin/forums/wwwthreads.pl to view it. ---- Missing the FQDN :)
  18. You just need someone like Mosby to help you out! Haha! Did you notice the guy on the right with his goggles around his neck? (you're famous Eric! Now get some work done!)
  19. Did you figure out why it slapped you? Did you pack it? Make the last stow too close to the risers? God bless Boneheads. Peace, love, and help your fellow skydiver
  20. Merrick - Listen to skybytch, get some more jumps on that Sabre - then the Sabre-2 should be out for you to try!
  21. Should have been there Wednesday - $16 jumps, even got the Casa up for a few of them.

    Signs

ilovebacon had it http://www.ilovebacon.com/vehicles/081700.shtml and of course, how did I forget Big Bone Lick state park, which is on Beaver road and close to Sugartit, KY. They're a little messed up in KY.

I think my roommate still has a picture of a sign off I-75 I think in Michigan. It's for "Exit 69 - Big Beaver Rd"
  24. I feel Aviation Induced Divorce Syndrome in your future... Top Ten Reason Skydiver Chicks are better than Wuffo Chicks 10) A good date is sitting around watching skydive videos, even if it's your student jumps 9) Who else is going to get you extra altitude? 8) 60 second "kiss pass" 7) You can ramble on about skydiving, and they'll join the conversation 6) Spending the weekend at the DZ is encouraged 5) Money spent on new rig instead of ring/vacation/flowers is acceptable 4) No more money wasted on flowers to say "I'm sorry" - nothing says "I'm sorry" like jump tickets 3) They're easier to shop for birthday/christmas/etc 2) Vacations planned around jumping are not only acceptable, they're encouraged! and the number one reason Skydiver Chicks are better than Wuffo Chicks: 1) Skydiver chicks are better in bed
  25. I wanna go! Well... err.... wait. Depends who's flying the Casa.
