Will a prodytter also beep when you're under your parachute? _______________________________________

Sounds like you need to find a new dropzone. This sounds like nonsense. I think they said that to try to 'motivate' you to jump

I assume they were talking about the canopy as I only have royal blue logo's on my container..the rest is black. My canopy is all royal blue with one bar neon yellow and one bar navy blue.. _______________________________________

Just got a mail that due to a shortage of royal blue fabrics at Aerodyne I will probably have to wait a few weeks longer then normal for my rig...or I have to choose different colors....Damn...now I'm unhappy _______________________________________

I have ordered an Aerodyne icon+pilot+smart also... :) How's Aerodyne doing on delivery times? How long did you have to wait Vallerina? _______________________________________

Looks cool

You are not the only one

"Anyway he made the choice not to jump, so chill" Indeed he did...and I think that was a smart decision... I'm chilling...what did I say wrong? ..read my post again please..It was all meant in the nicest way possible. _______________________________________

Do you really think it's a smart idea to start base-jumping at only 50 jumps? 50 jumps is nothing....why the rush? "Death is not something that scares me" If you are not scared of death you would have jumped during bridge-day. Not being scared can make your skydiving/base-jumping career very short. Advice from Tom himself "First, make at least 200 skydives. You need to make these skydives in order to practice accuracy, tracking and canopy control skills. You also need to establish a general comfort level with parachutes, free fall, and split second decisions. The skydivers who are best prepared for BASE generally jump large, 7 cell, F-111 canopies, have had a number of malfunctions and responded correctly, and are comfortable with multiple skydiving disciplines." _______________________________________

Vertical Axis Entertainment Video Trailer
Fab replied to Cacophony's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
great video, the mint green/purple chute in the middle of the movie...Is that what's called a dynamic stall? Remind me to never try that myself _______________________________________ -
euh...if the pilotchute didn't collapse after opening...couldn't this have caused it? Sounds like the most plausible cause to me..In the second picture you can see the PC fully inflated below the canopy. Maybe he was stalling his canopy so the PC went over and under the chute in the second picture? Can a PC produce enough drag to do this on such a small canopy? _______________________________________

what was wrong with you're pack job? What did you do? _______________________________________

Oh man...Excellent...great instructor you had _______________________________________

I think you meant to say the RSL handled the reserve opening..not the Cypres...at least I hope so. _______________________________________

I have about 70 jumps and still haven't got my 'A' (mainly due to fun-jumps). It's just a piece of paper anyway...Have fun _______________________________________

I have flown a silhouette 190...It's a very nice canopy...A Silhouette is placed one categorie higher then the Solo here in the Netherlands which means you have to have more jumps to fly the silhouette then the solo. This means the Silhouette will probably be more fun to fly...is more responsive...etc.. The Solo is considered to be a student chute...the silhouette is not. I don't know the solo. In my humble opinion..the silhouette will be a very good choice for a first canopy...so will the Pilot from aerodyne. Silhouette has also got a very good flare...lands very easy.. I have only flown skymasters,zp.exe, pilot and a silhouette so my experience with different chutes is somewhat limited :) _______________________________________

Thought so :)..I'll stick with an I6 then..thanks _______________________________________

Typical wingloading at diff. experience levels
Fab replied to DZJ's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
0 - 100 : max wingloading 1.1 100-500 : max wingloading 1.3 These are the rules here in holland... _______________________________________ -
I didn't see you countersteer on your video...Probably the reason you kept on spinning? Try to counter turn HARD. I agree with the last poster...instructors should have been able to stop your spin but they were probably giving you some space to stop them yourself. Also don't think dumping at 10k was the best option. Shouldn't the instructors worry about your safety instead of the other way around? Dumping at 10k because you're worried about your instructors sounds a bit strange to me. Your instructors are there to help you with these problems and are (or should) be able to stop your spins... What did your instructors say about your spin? The best advice you can get is from your instructors... _______________________________________

Hi mccordia, ooeehh...I wanna do that too How much did that jump cost you? Where did you find a balloon-pilot who was willing to let you jump out of his balloon? Thought most pilots aren't very keen on skydivers here in holland.. _______________________________________
