  1. ...how sad, sorry to hear this. "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  2. I'm usually a blueberry/strawberry kinda gal, but I'm casting my vote for chocolate chip tonight! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  3. My condolences to all his family and friends. Blues, Steve "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  4. I've been in this sport since '98 and have yet to have a flying dream...never have had one. The closest I've ever gotten is a recurring dream I used to have a few years back of being in an elevator that starts to ascend normally, but then turns sideways, and then end over end - kinda like something out of Willy Wonka - a Wonka'vator. No tragic ending, just left with the sense that I had to find a way out of it Someone I knew ,who was into analyzing dreams, said it sounded like it had something to do with me feeling like I didn't have control over my life. Things weren't going the way I would've like at the time, so that made sense. Haven't had it again after that period of my life was over
  5. I work in a medical clinic, and it's unbelievable what people will talk about on their cells while waiting for their appointment. I know it can be hard to wait, especially if the doctor is running late, and killing time on the cell is understandable, but people have lost all sense of appropriateness. I've actually had to signal people aside and tell them that the subject of their conversation is not appropriate for a public waiting room - the younger ones talk about getting drunk, high, and/or layed using graphic language. People of all ages seem to have no problem conducting a full-blown scream-fest with their S.O., kid, business partner or whoever is pissing them off at the moment - I've had to ask them to take their "conversation" outside to the parking lot. Then, when you want to call them in to the exam room they look at me and say "Can you wait a few minutes, I need to finish this call?", to which I reply: "No, I can't. Please come now, or I take the next person." I even witnessed one person say that to a doctor when he came into the room to examine them...it's unbelievable. 6. Just got home from work, and this is a nice bit of news to hear that the little guy is perking up. Your a good dog-mom!
  7. my sentiments as well....glad he made it through and hang in there. "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  8. Now, now, now...you artistic types really are sensitive! BOOBIES!! Feelin' better??? "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  9. Well, the guy in image no. 8 never has to worry about where to find his keys I understand a few tattoos. I have even considered getting a small skydiving related tat, and may yet get it. But I cannot relate to this kind of body piercing...so this kind of beauty really is in the eye of the beholder. I guess the world would be boring if we all lived our lives the same way, but personally, I will continue to hang my car keys on a hook by my back door! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  10. This recording is one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. You have good taste. Well, thanks! She just has the greatest voice...I'm hoping she really can get it all together again this year. I'm sure your Snoopy dance would make Michael Flatley, Lord of The Dance, green with envy "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." 11. Oh, my heart goes out to you...it is an awful feeling when our pets are sick. Prayers sent up for the little guy and for you. I hope by the time you read this, he is much improved. "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  12. Just to mix it up from the Burl Ives/Frank Sinatra stuff, I like A Very Special Christmas, vol. I (I think it's # 1??). It has Bruce Springstein's Santa Claus is Comin' To Town, ect. - it's a fun way to break up the traditional stuff. My favorite song on there is Whitney Houston's Do You Hear What I Hear. Her voice is so beautiful and powerful on that...just amazing, it gives me goosebumps. "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  13. prayers sent. "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  14. Congratulations to you both...wishing you a lifetime of happiness! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  15. I have a Nixonesque trait - I like cottage cheese with tomato soup. I take a spoonfull of cot.cheese and dunk it down into my tomato soup then eat...mmm..mmm...good! I've been doing that since I was a kid. When I lived at home my brothers said it grossed them out I would like to add that I don't do this in public - this is strictly "at home" behavior. There are much worse combos, at least I think, but still I don't lay this on some unsuspecting person at the next table. Jennr8r: I think a great additional question is do you eat this way in front of other people??? C'mon food freaks, we know you're out there. Besides it's just your dizzy.com friends, we won't tell anyone "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." 16. Titanic was cute, but Brokeback Bunny made me LOL!
  17. That is a good plan, however, very few people left my complex today...and the one's that did didn't have to shovel, they have trucks/SUV's so they did the 'mosey' thing. Meanwhile, I'm up to my ass, and ON my ass (I fell 3 or 4 times) digging my car out mumbling "..."the next thing I buy will be the biggest, most obnoxious, gas-guzlin', Al Gore-be-damned SUV so I can drive over the snow, cars, and anything else I damn well please..." . Believe me, the thought occured to me that I need 4wd!! My boss did have someone call me and tell me not to worry about coming in, which was nice. throat/neck?

Do you have a fever?? If you do, it's viral/bacterial. Viral stuff can't be helped with antibiotics, as you probably already know - lots of fluids, rest, Tylenol/advil for the fever, etc. If it's bacterial, you get antibiotics, do the salt water gargle, etc. If no fever, there's just a bunch of stuff it "could be", but speculating on all that will just scare you unnecessarily. Your best bet is to see a doctor ASAP, even if you have to go to a walk-in clinic, because she/he can put your mind at ease that you don't have some freak thing going on. Feel better soon! "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." Kbordson
  19. Same here. It took me 30mts. to shovel my car out of my parking spot, then, I drove around to the front of my building and since the streets hadn't been plowed, my car slid into the yard across the street - buried up to the tires in wet, heavy snow. I kept rocking the car, digging, rocking...sigh. Got it out with my landlords help, drove about 10ft, took another turn, stuck again. I don't know how long I would have been stuck if my landlord hadn't showed up w/his 4wd. I love the change of seasons, I really do, but after taking almost 2hrs. this morning I think I want to move somewhere warm. 20. Wow...pretty frightening stuff going on in your world now. You and your family are definitely in my prayers! As before, PM me if you think I can help with anything besides the prayers - I'll do what I can. Hang in there. W. $2300

Yeah, that's my problem...when I finally make up my mind about what I want, I want it NOW, and that's where it all goes south on me! Thanks for the advice!! JSBIRD: thanx for the website info. $2300

I need a haggling tutuorial from you and WB. I research prices, go in feelin' like I know what is a reasonable price, but then the salesman always comes up with some reason why it isn't, and they don't budge and I get worn down quickly by it all, kinda like Michelle's dad - I just want it over. I want a good deal, but hate the whole haggle process 'cuz I'm not good at it, like there's some missing link, a bottom line secret to it all that I don't know. I feel like I have a handle on how to get a good price on a used car, believe it or not, but buying electronics throws me. How do you guys come up with, as WB says, "a price I want to pay"...do you just compare adds in local sales papers or is there a web site that is commonly used for pricing that I can rely on for a reasonable price? Or do you just say screw all that, and just throw out whatever number and see if they'll bite???? I need some 'hagglin' 101 lessons "...I've learned that while the "needs" in life are important (food, water, shelter), it's the "wants" in life (ice cream, chocolate, sex) that make it worth the effort." 23. Congratulations, and along with everyone else, I'm so glad to hear you both are doing so well. Welcome to the world Aiden Spencer!
  24. Woohoo! Have fun and tell us all about it when you can!
