  1. Cause you wouldn't say "Kilo" because thats already the "K" value in the phonetical alphabet. They just came up with something catchy as close as they could to "Kilo", Thats why. I did 5 years in the Marines. I had to use SO many damn acronyms for almost everything, right when I saw this I had to answer..take care..EW
  2. Best I've read yet. It was crazy, insane, and its all of his business to do that. 9/10 of the people skydiving don’t even know who Pastrana is. I didn’t even know this stunt existed. Who cares? He is an idiot...wanting to do that, but with calculated risk, comes with calculated results...And to all that think this may affect people doing this stunt, think again...they did this in Puerto Rico I believe. NO DZ in the Continental US was going to allow this..so there you have it people...it aint going to far than what we saw in the video...this was just a good deal for Red Bull, and some extra cash for Travis...hahaha...wow what controversy!!!
  3. Just like a G4!! Ward Hessing showed me some of the new rigs Mirage has out now, and the most comfort I thinnk you could ever pack into a rig. Thought the G4 was comfortable, and snug...this sh#t now is retarded!!!!
  4. Yeah...but everyone has their own little style to the way the flow, right. I know what you mean about the art, but I have yet to see a shirt wiht form so bad that it needed to be brought to anyones attention...
  5. True...not that bad, just not the best. I mean, all of these types of rigs are airworthy, no doubt. What I was trying to say was that the newer designs and innovations that we see on most all of the higher end rigs these days come standard on a G3/G4's right outta the factory. As far a Babylon, well, when someone gives you free gear, do you turn it down..that was a bad example my friend..c'mon!!!
  6. MIRAGE!!!!!! Comfortable Unison Harness, delux back pad, nice big soft handles, the free fly handle is what I have, and its so secure....and Mirage is of a way newer design than Javelin is. I think you cant go wrong with the G4. Its encompasses all the "free-fly friendly" aspects...hands down. As you can see the Free Fly Hacky is nice and snug...and look at the riser protection...2 tight, secure flaps...very, very safe!!!! Need I say more....buy a G4!!!!!!
  7. Ive been doing triathlons for awhile now. Swimming, running and bicycling is so helpful wiht FF. I am wihtout a doubt one of the most conditoned poeple at my DZ, and actions speak louder than words, lemme tell ya.
  8. super video..I gotta get back
  9. i JUST bought a PC1000 a week ago, and have done about 15-20 jumps with it so far. I have absolutley NO problems wiht it whatsoever, and the picture quality is second to none..well..besides HD, but we all know that. A lot of people had asked me what camera I had after seeing the video on the DVD's weve rendered. Its remarkable quality..with easy to use features, and overall every person Ive talked wiht all give props to this camera. B&H photo for $850. Do it!
  10. Yeah, I have always wondered what a DZ would do in this case..I would charge for the jump only..
  11. ALL the ladies out there could puke up millions..its a fact...ALL HOTTIES EAT THE JIZZ
  12. I spoke wiht one of the " Techies" at Sony and they said that they felt this is starting to become an obsolete feature..I mentioned this concerning skydivers, and he said we dont taylor to just one genre of film producers, obviously so ofcourse..no dice for skydivers..He didnt say anything about what was to replace the lanc with a simple feature, except that there will remain a firewire. As for Pro Film guru's, they already use RF firewire remotes, but that will never fit on any camera, well..if you wont that bulky thing there, its just the inconvience of something simple like LANC that is being phased out..so..well just have to wait and see? Anybody else, here heard more?
  13. There is a lanc port on the PC 1000..
  14. To all of you, thanks so much..I have learned a lot..wow, thank you all
  15. Wow, Thank you all for the help. I was just seein what others had been through! I just hate having to make irrational decisions. I think overall, I had planned to join the Air Force CCT cause they get paid to have all kinds of quals, and the qaulity of life is superior frok what I hear. Thanks again everyone. Wade
  16. To anyone who can help, especially with this regarding skydiving and my future with the sport, I have about 1 year left in the Marines. I love the miliatry, but dont want to leave its job and finiacial security so as to what has been paying for the sport since I started. My next option is to go to college I guess, and work at some degree like buisness, but I mean in reality, I dont know what I would like to do wioht a college degree yet. I am asking for some help from anyone here who has left the military and gone a different route and tell me how they paid for the sport and did you eventually get back into it hard like you used to before you left the military or what. I just dont know what to do wiht myslef
  17. Here is one thing I can add to this ordeal, especially since I know what its like to just horse around as well as do some serious stuff. NO names, but at my DZ there are a few people I jump wiht that get mad when I try to propse a serious jump. They say, " skydiving should just be for fun" and " I hate it when people get serious, becuase they loose the reason why the started jumping in the first place- to have fun" I cannot stand being ridiculed for this non sense soley on the fact that I wanted to actaully start something with more spice than just jumpinj out of a plane, that was whn I had 25 jumps, is self-improvement something to ridicule, or not? What do you say to someone when you can see the frustration in their eyes when you want to have a serious type of jump, and they still wanna play around and not listen to whats goin?
  18. I am planning on buying a RAWA ASAP. Before I puchase, I have left one more thing to do that needs to be paid close attention - measurement. When I use the tape measure to measure my head, do I keep the tape tight or just kinda loose, so to speak. I mean, do these measurements need to be loose or exact. like when you pull the tape really tight against the side of your head. Lastly, you are supposed to make sure you measure the biggest circumfrence around our head, right? I mean by that saying, finding the largest part of your head, or just measure around your forehead? These are all the questions I have, and thank you all for any input in this manner..
  19. Wow, thanks man..I have a bad habbit of just posting wihtout doin research..no more replies are needed for me, but I will take any if suggested..thanks again for all you alls help..

  21. I am seriously looking into this suit (PHI), and have read a lot about it on the BirMan website, but anyone here have some expereinces they could share with me as to better my decision... I have heard this suit was intended more for tricks, and more advanced acrobatic manuevors..? If anyone here has jumped the FireBird, what did you think in comparison to the PHI? Any help besides this question is greatly appreciated..thanks for you time and any inputs..
