  1. That t-shirt is useless. I can't see a damn thing..... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  2. Carrie is very high maintainence (sp?) Most normal men would tire of her whiny BS after oh, 15 minutes.....then again she is probably a FREAK in bed...... Scottie, well, she did eat the toast off the ground. If she is that hungry, there is some strange shit under that surface - and I question her hygiene. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  3. Stand by for the following announcement: Tom Cruise is a fag. That is all. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  4. Grief is the pain we pay for the moments that make life living. I feel that I will always be sad about losing someone I care about, though I imagine that they would not want me to be. After being in Iraq, it seems to hurt on a whole new level when someone I care about dies. Though, on the other hand, I think I come to terms with death better, even though it still rips my guts out. Over time, things get better and the stab in the side occurs less frequently. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  5. I have been a Nurse for 8 years now. Before that I was a Medic ( I am Active duty Army). I will have 12 years service this July. I have seen some amazing things, even done some amazing things. I would not trade it for anything, even the bad things. I have had the chance to be a major factor in someones life - more than once. I have recieved some of the best compliments as a Nurse. It has been quite rewarding. Being a Nurse has also been very hard at times. I do it for strictly selfish reasons - I like the way I feel when I help someone. Best part, if someone gets hurt at the DZ, I can help. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  6. I already found this and qouted it, but it was looked by my Seinor NCO as "a smart ass answer". I found DOD Directive 1330.4, but I am still looking for more. Thanks _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  7. I have been looking for the reg covering line of duty for skydiving as a hobby (not airbornd operations). My Chain of Command is ordering me to provide proof that I can skydive, or I will be ordered not to. It is a huge ple of bullshit, forking whuffos too scared to try and too ignorant to leave me alone. I have only found an article written by a a JAG legal clerk that line of duty covers skydiving because it is considered "Normal activity", not dangerous and stupid like running with the bulls. Can anyone help me out? Anything will be greatly appreciated. Steve _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  8. I died 5 times before I got it. Once it fell into place, I took a guess at the wire and died. The fifth try I flew right through it. It kept me occupied for about an hour.... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  9. 11 years and counting. My Grandfather served. My father-inlaw did 20 with 3 tours in Vietnam, 2 Purple Hearts and 3 Bronze Stars. I thought the year I spent in Iraq was alot. I am now thinking it may not be, when others are on their third year....... It is MY pleaure to Serve. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  10. I have to admit, I am stuck on the key-pad. http://www.pedagonet.com/games/package.html I forgot how to make a clicky.....haven't been on DZ.com for a couple months...... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  11. Hamburger University - it was a movie. At least I think that was the title.........not really a porno, more like a skinamax flick, on VHS.... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  12. I really am bothered by your avatar, but I tried this recipie (funny that I do that from time to time, try recipies that randomly float my way) I give it a 9/10. The 9 is because it takes 45 minutes to bake. Thank you. The wife loved it as well....... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  13. Might check for a vaccum leak as well. ABS brakes are a bitch if you don't do them often. Pumping the brake pedal should set you right, though. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  14. If there is limited space, why not have the swoopers do a low altitude pass - IE Hop-&-Pop??? This would give everyone the area they need without crossing landing patterns. Why does this have to be such a hot debate? Skydivers are a small unique family. We do not need the dissention among the (all to few) ranks. This sport is dangerous enough without all the drama of who should have what landing priority, blah, blah, blah. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  15. I will be at Bowling Green the 28th & 29th of July. How much you need? _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  16. "Irregardless" is redundant. Swooping is here to stay. End of line. Swooping in "normal canopy traffic" is dangerous. Period. Seperate landing zones is the best solution. This is why I posted a thread about why I won't jump at Eloy again. Swoopers are the most exciting visual aspect of our sport. They can either make a good impression, or just make an impression. Like a crotch rocket speeding on the highway in traffic, a swooper is just asking for trouble. I see it, I will do something about it. I do not care if I am popular or well liked. I am here to have fun. Someone pulls some stupid human trick and ends only hurting themselves, well, they had it coming. Hurt someone else - and they should be held accountable. Lets keep it fun AND safe. Swooping needs its own traffic and landing area. That is the best and safest thing to do. I suggested this last year somewhere, but it took an article by Briam Germain and several (not one ot two mind you) deaths to bring a solution to our attention. Shame, those deaths could have been prevented...... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  17. You carry a chip on your shoulder - sooner or later someone is going to knock it off. Cooperate with the police, you may just get lucky. Piss off a cop, well, you had it coming one way or another. Some people just insist on exercising their God given right to be stupid.......... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  18. As the 29 approaches, I have been thinking of the friends we lost that horrible day last year. I still get kicked in the side frequently when I do. I started skydiving at Quantum Leap in July 2005. Steve, Robert, Dave, Rob, and Scott all taught me so many things about the sport. Scott even flew video to help me out because I had to repeat level 5 five times on AFF. I finally nailed it after that. Steve graduated me from AFF with one of his well known speeches. Someday I will pass on his advice to my students. Robert helped me begin to understand canopy piloting, and I am still learning from him. Dave was just one hell of a guy. That Fourth of July I was packing, and someone lit some firecrackers off next to the hanger. Caught me off guard and for a moment I was back in Iraq getting shot at. After trying to dive under a Joe Box, Dave came over to talk to me. Since I had been back and had a "reaction" like that - that was the FIRST time I did not feel like a freak. Rob flew awesome camera. Someday, I want to fly camera, and I hope that I can be half as good as he was. He was cool headed and had such a positive effect on the tandem passengers he videoed. Quantum Leap is no longer in Sullivan, having moved to Bowling Green. Quantum Leap was home to me for two years. I still miss it very much. I miss my friends very much. 20. I am a Nurse - so do take this as professional advice/opinion. Just something to ask your doctor about. Ultram is great, for mild to moderate pain such as post-op, esp. ortho. If you are looking for something to hit a bit harder without the CNS side affects of narcotics look into Lodine. Combine it with the ultram (ultracet without the tylenol) and you may be better off. Make sure you don't have an allergy to lodine or other NSAIDS. It is similar to Motrin, but I think it works better. _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
  21. Bryan and Lynn are the BEST! My home DZ is Quantum Leap. Needed a repack and QL was closed for the weekend. Bryan set me up, tolerated my annoying questions about reserve re-packing and I did 4 loads that day. I had just got the 'A' license, had yet to jump my own gear, and yet to jump out of a cessna. I had an AWESOME day. It is almost 2 hours for me to drive there, but worth it every time. The shower set-up makes camping overnight sweet. Bring a cooler. When QL closed in July '06, I was a "homeless skydiver". FFE "took me in" so to say. There are no clicks, you never want for someone to jump with - or work with you on your own skills. For a small DZ this place is big on everything that counts!!
  22. I should know how to do a clicky by now. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070518/en_nm/scotty_dc_3 For 500 bucks, I would like my ashes to stay in outer space.... _________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
