  1. A 1/3 of my jumps are out of a Cessna and I don't mind jumping them at all. Actually I prefer jumping Cessna's on certain days. When I want things slow and laid back I head to my Cessna dropzone where things are friendly and intimate.
  2. As it has been said it depends on what the purpose of your computer is. If its to surf the net then what you have should be more than fast enough. I am still using a AMD 400 with 64 megs of memory and its more than adequate for most tasks, but gaming. If its the download time for the internet that is killing you than a faster connection will remedy that problem. The two things that really help a computer be fast is the FSB and RAM.
  3. I would let the pilot know so he can clear it with ATC (Air Traffic Control. Some places that have heavy air traffic might have to clear air traffic so you don't get hit by plane. Speak to a jumpmaster to help you with the spot. Be aware of the winds at altitude since you will be up there so much longer and keep an eye on where you are at.
  4. I agree with Lisa 100% on this issue. Manufactures bashing other manufactures products on here is a reflection of the ethics they practice and the confidence they have in their products. If a product is excellent it will stand on its own merits and prove itself superior. There seems to a large amount of bashing going on unsubstantiated by evidence. This just makes me loose respect and confidence for that manufacture/individual. I don't find it a service to bash another manufacture unless there is solid independent evidence
  5. Its just my opinion that your bragging about canopy control seems old. It doesn't bother me enough to stop posting. I just choose not to listen to you, but I will stop this before I drive this thread any further off topic.
  6. Kirils, Maybe PD has spent a lot money on product development. That could be the reason their products have with stood the test of time. Maybe they were just ahead of their time and the other manufactures are just trying to catch up. For some reason certain individuals seem to feel that new products mean good products, but that doesn't always seem to be the case. As evident by a current recall. Also who is there to say that PD hasn't been developing canopies.
  7. Rhino, This discussion about how well you can fly canopy is getting pretty old. You talk like a canopy control expert, but how many jumps do you have or how much canopy time? When did it become a discussion about your canonpy skills? When you brought it up and said how skilled you were on your canopy. You seem to have a problem with other calling you out on your skill level, but overconfidence kills.
  8. Michele ruled the thread with that response. There is no backpedaling out of her response.
  9. Actually the new Mac OS is pretty good and very stable...yet I don't use it

    pot heads?

Newbie...you are such a tool for trying to start with these silly threads.
  11. Ugh...country. I try not to associate skydiving and music. The two combined usually ends with bad music and silly lyrics
  12. What the hell are you talking about...That didn't make much sense
  13. Don't let it get you down and get back in the air as soon as you can. We all make bad decisions, but ones that you can walk away from are ones can learn from. From now on you will be more altitude aware and know a situation you will probably want to cutaway from. Chalk it up as a good experience and enjoy some more jumps.
  14. I swear this has had to be one of the dumbiest debates. I mean how hard was it to understand that it wasn't a skydiving helmet. I didn't think it was that difficult to figure out unless you are nit picking. Sheesh...no wonder they have to put HOT on Mcdonalds coffee cups.
  15. Why don't we have 4 reserves? Why don't I rock climb with three ropes? Why don't I wear a helmet when I drive to work? Not to be a smartass, but all for the same reasons. We can only take so many precautions from things before they become unrealistic and unduly cumbersome.
  16. Also try to keep your fall rate up as you forward and back. As you expose more surface area by leaning forward (move back) and leaning back (move forward) you tend to slow your fall rate. I think this is one of the hardest parts of forward and backward motion in a sit is maintaining a consistent fall rate. Concentrate on keeping the fall rate up by compensating and pushing the legs down. Its a good habit to learn while learning motion in a sit before you develop bad habits like I have.
  17. I don't know why, but I am not big on skydiving tattoos. I haven't ever seen a good looking skydiving tattoo.
  18. Spend like 50 bucks and buy a fleshlight www.fleshlight.com Post a Paypal account or something so we can contribute towards your fleshlight. You will have it no time
  19. WTF is up with these threads. Its wasted bandwidth in my opinion. I don't care if white supremacist alien from mars skydives. They are allowed to
  20. This one just seemed way out there...thats all
  21. This a loaded question, looking for controversy and a heated debate. I kinda don't see its point DZ.com either, but in any case I am not going to touch it.
