It happens to me all the time. I got a grup of co-workers to all go the weekend of May 7th. Had 12 people signed up to tandem, and the rest of the gang was going to hang and pick-nic to watch. I was warned that half would back out and that I would hear to lamest excuses. My DZO even said he had one guy call to cancel with the excuse he had to comb his cat! The best I ever saw was a "Macho" looking dude who was given a tandem by his girlfriend for Christmas. We had a light load so she got to ride observer and the guy chickened out when we hit 14.5. I mean he chickened out screaming like a GIRL! This sport ain't for everyone and I have to say after having to push the fear down for AFF 2&3 when I started, I can see why some people can't. Just get used to it and the few that go through with it will suprise you (only to dissapoint you with the excuses they find as to why they can't do AFF "right now").

I've had MANY nights like that. By the end of every shift just when I'm aout to say to the next patient "Look here you stupid Mother F@#%$*!" Mr. Bud and Mr. Wiser can help sooth the nerves. Off the point I had a friend growing up who's dad was a surgeon. Their Last name was Wiser and he was called Buddy. He actually was Dr. Bud Wiser!

Look forward to it. I'll be down ya'lls way this next week during the week. Hope to get some weekday jumps in if Uncle Sam allows.

Ya' know it's hard to be professional and see patients in the E.R. when you've SPLIT YOUR PANTS!!!! Also..FYI a stapler will not hold a seem worth a damn in scrubs. This folks IS my life.

Taking a trip compliments of Uncle Sam to Hotlanta May 1-6. I believe they jump during the week and would like to squeeze some jumps in. I won't get away from duty untill 5pm but even if I could get 1 or two a day in I would try. Anyone know what time they unsually shutdown and does anyone here jump there during the week? I've got the number and will call Mon. but would love to meet anyone here who might be there this week.

Boy I sure do not recommend that, especially if the airport has federal grants. It could very well compromise the operation as well as the airport even if you were to get permission. That's the nice thing about a DZ with a private strip!

Know what you mean. Hung out today to wait on the weather to clear, never did so we did some chainsaw work around a pond on the DZ we are trying to turn into a swoop pond. At least now has one lane for clear approach. Hope it's better tomorrow.
