  1. Jeez dude - What the hell kinda steroids are the 'skeeters on in your woods?????? Easy Does It
  2. I've got a sense of humor - I like the word "retard" and use it on a regular basis. Yes in some environments it may be in poor taste to use the word. So that's when I don't. Grow a funny bone, Francis!!! Easy Does It
  3. Some how some one got ahold of my CC info and purchased a rather large Mexican calling card. The CC (Cap 1 if I recall - ) company called me and brought it to my attention, since that sort of transaction was WAY out of my normal profile. One call and it was all cleared up. Yes I agree, these indentity insurance companies seem to prey on folks fears to a degree. I think the full-blown horror stories are a little on the rare side though. Easy Does It
  4. Like a letter T that hangs upside-down from the ceiling, to hang the canopy from vs. hanging everything over your shoulder. Not uncommon to see tandem canopies packed this way due to thier size. Easy Does It
  5. About 5 years. Lost two friends in the same season, within 3 months of each other Easy Does It
  6. I like to have the pilot chute out of the pouch by 3K. We routinely break off our RW jumps around 4k. Easy Does It
  7. Get in touch with your local Allen-Bradley rep. A basic PLC will enable you to do anything you want. Easy to set up and program, too. Easy Does It
  8. Thunderbolt and Lightfoot - One of Clints' best. Easy Does It
  9. No shit - You can apply that to all the proposals that do put alternative energy and convervation up front. too. During the election season it's all about getting the vote, and the less educated the masses are, the better. Make something sound sensational, put it in a 30-second media bite, (if the attention span is that long, hell, 15 seconds will work.....) pay a few good-looking talking heads to nod in agreement, and then you've got half the country nodding in agreement. Easy Does It
  10. This is going to make some stupid people think "What a great idea!!" and vote for him, thus he wins the election. When they realize no decrease in pump prices, it will be blamed on something such as an alleged terrorist farting upwind of a US destroyer anchored off the coast of New Jersey or some shit. Easy Does It
  11. You forgot Chuck Norris. I'd like to vote for him. Easy Does It
  12. Fist rough figure I can easily come up with, retail (pump) sales was about $20 billion in January '08, before taxes. Easy Does It
  13. I'd say Kraftwerk also, but from the same era - Icehouse Missing Persons King Crimson (Robert Fripp did some really cool stuff!!) Easy Does It
  14. Just shy of 12 billion - So I wonder what we spent on gas that same quarter, and how that figure compares to thier profit.
  15. Uh - George can't do another term - Civil unrest in the area has been going on for years - Russia doesn't like Georgia since the collpase of the USSR. Lots of ethnic unrest in the area, like the whole Bosnia thing. Get your info from more than one source. Georgia wants to join NATO. Russia doesn't like that, guess thier still a little sore about the USSR going to shit and the whole Cold War thing. There's a whole other thread here about it anyways - Take a look....http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3292486;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread Easy Does It
  16. Ford doesn't have a great rep for reliability or longevity here in the States. It's not unusual to see a Toyota on the road looking good with 250,000-plus miles on it. I agree on the seats - Not the best for long-distance driving. Mine is a 2004 with full steel body and bed. 2.9L V6 gas, I get about 18 to 20 MPG. Easy Does It
  17. Lighten up, Francis - No where is there any mention of military action, only some tough-talk. From what wonderfully liberal CNN says in the article, Bush is letting everyone know that he strongly disapproves. If anything, NATO troops might be used, but odds are that diplomatic resources would have to be exhausted first. Take with a grain or thirty of salt. CNN is only giving you a small fraction of the real, big picture.
  18. :4:1 First jumps after a 9-month layoff - Damn it felt GOOOOOOOOD !!!! Beer for new gear - Will be back at the DZ Labor Day weekend with cases in-hand. Easy Does It
  19. Not only the government, but the media is just as guilty, if not moreso. Everyone has seen the media on a tear, convicting people of crimes long before any evidence is presented in the courtroom. The media pegged Richard Jewell, an innocent man, for the Olympic bombing and he was later given a fuck of a lot of money to compensate him for that farce. And they have an awful lot more that appears damning to Ivins than they ever had on Jewell. Let's start with easy access to the same strain of anthrax that was used in the attacks as a jumping-off point, shall we? HE IS THE ONE TO BLAME FOR WHY WE WON'T GET THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY!! FOR FUCK'S SAKE, we'd GET the other side if he hadn't fucking KILLED HIMSELF! It's NOT OUR FAULT that we won't hear "his side"! If he wanted to clear his name, the fucker should have stayed alive instead of ODing on acetominophen. In case you haven't figured it out, the FBI, the media, the government, what ever agencies, has released the information that they want us to hear. This is true with every single news story printed or broadcasted. If you think they've divulged 100% of the facts, without spin, political bias, etc. you've got another thing coming. We do enjoy alot of First Amendment freedom here in the US, but anyone who thinks we're getting the full story at any time is delusional. The goverment, law enforcement, right down to the owners/editors,/managment of the media outlets themselves contral what is printed and broadcasted. Even if Ivins didn't commit suicide, we would not have gotten the full story. Let's wake up and smell the decaf, folks.
  20. Not only the government, but the media is just as guilty, if not moreso. Everyone has seen the media on a tear, convicting people of crimes long before any evidence is presented in the courtroom. Don't get me wrong, from what we've seen, he could have been/probably was (is) the guilty party, but it wold be nice to hear the other side of the story. Easy Does It
