Looking for what US consumers spent on gasoline during 1q 2008. Anyone know where I can find that statistic? I was just wondering how that sales figure compares to Exxons' 1st quater profit. I already checked the EIA website, lots of interesting info, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Easy Does It

I was stationed at Griffiss AFB - Couple hours south in Rome, about 12 years ago - Still have some familiy in the state. I understand the base itself is relatively nice. HUGE amounts of lake effect snow in the winter. Expect a soft job market and sales taxes may be on the high side. Summers are wonderful, you're at the front door of the Adirondack Mountains, one of the most beautiful places on Earth!! Fishing and hunting opportunities abound. Easy Does It

Haven't jumped in over 6 months - Slowed down quite a bit last summer due to neck/back pain. Had my surgery in Feb. and should be back in the air this weekend. I'll be happy to jump 3-4 days a month, and one day a month during the winter. When I do get to the DZ I'll try to get 3-5 jumps a day in.

When I worked for Prudential, is was common to test for nicotine, HIV, etc. They will probably "rate you up" based on the nicotine found in the test results. Depends on how much the policy is for, and your age, too. The larger the benefit, and older you are, etc. etc. the more in-depth the physical. Hair grows about 1 cm/ month, give or take. Other parts of the body, such as eyebrows, grow a bit slower. I'd say just don't dip any more snuff and hope for the best. You can ask to be re-evaluated a year later, and if the test is clean the company should reduce the premium. Easy Does It

Like others, a 5-star place is nice when the food is worth the expense. I've been some dives where the food would blow away some $200 - plate places. I hate going to a nice place and paying high bucks for mediocre food. Best is when you go to a hole-in-wall and find great food. Nancy and I love finding new places to eat, weather a dive or more upscale. We have a French restaurant nearby that has to be one of the areas best-kept secrets. Outstanding food and service, and fairly reasonbly priced. Easy Does It
