And I've just recieved an email from a rigger familiar with them and he reckons it pack pretty similar to a Raven 1. So it should be ok. So you're saying the 176 Angelfire with microline has the volume of a PD-R 193 with microline? Why build a reserve that does not compete in the market place? The plot thickens. I recieved this, Hello Peder, No, it's always been a 177. It may be mislabeled? At any rate, the pack volume of the 177 is 475-500 cubic inches. Hope this helps, - Tim That was from Tim at Jumpshack. Now I have an even bigger question. It apprently always been a 177 but it's now listed as a 180. And it's labelled on the canopy as a 176... This also deviates from the quoted 416 cubic inches listed in the Jumpshack manual that is linked to in an above post. And worse, if what he says is true is comparable to a PD 218-R. But that is not possible because that means a Pd218 is the same size as a tempo 210.... which pack quite small. There are a few poeple with 210's in J3's. Couldn't this also be the reason swooping strands a chance of becoming a televised sport. people love carnage. I only used to watch motoGP when I was little for the crashes. I recently saw accuracy on TV in Europe. Italy I think it was. But anyway, swooping is far more interesting than accuracy. And I don't think televised carnage is going to impact any more severely than the 30 something people who die every year. Just like someone dying at a motoGP or during a motoX race, or even a skiing event,doesn't have dire consequences for the rest of the sport. Everyone knows what can happen... Swooping has a real oppotunity to become a major spectator sport. Like the Red Bull Air Races. Also there are tons of rivers/beaches etc where events could be held. Team swooping looks really impressive to whuffo's,(well to anyone really) and the promise of carnage will also attract spectators. As an olympic sport... I don't think there is a hope in hell until it at least gains free to air televised coverage. Also we can't have so many disciplines with so few participants. Skydiving is a very expensive sport to particpate in and by it's nature doesn't lend itself to the amatuer spirit of the games. If someone had enough money and some talent, they stand a good chance of being able to represent their country in skydiving. Hardly an amazing task... Well its been just over 3 weeks since I got back and I have put on just over 15 pounds. Of that 17 pounds 4 of them are fat.(measured from skinfolds) And I think about 1 in fluid. Burgers for breakfast have been a very good strategy. Along with an entire tin of sustagen(little tins, not the massive ones) a day and 4 weights sessions a week. That combined with 4 large meals a day have helped me thus far. Just another 10 lbs to go. Though something I do have a problem with. I got stretch marks on my bum after gaining 22lbs in a month last time I visited granny (6 pints a day minimum beer intake may have contributed) and they have since faded mostly. Now they are returning in all their glory. Im thinking of stopping glute excercises, but any other idea's on how to get rid of these things? "In one way or the other, I'm a bad brother.
