  1. That hurts to read.. He'll be deeply missed..
  2. Just packed a Vengeance 120 into a G3 MX, and that thing surely is tight.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  3. Having two rigs is a luxury i miss alot! But maintaining two, having two AADs is just way too expensive as a student.. I'm currently trying to make a second setup, ready on risers, so swapping will be "easy".. Setup like the demo canopies PD brings on tour.. Set up in different color risers so it is easy to spot which canopy is on.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  4. If you look at picture two it is quite easy to see that the slider is not completely reset.. Picture from the good old PD main manual.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  5. Weird. I am a younger rigger, not old grey-bearded one. I have ratings and I haven't been jumping anywhere close to 40 years. I got plenty of round manuals, I have packed (and continue to pack) plenty of rounds, and I have jumped and landed plenty of various rounds (both reserves and mains). sorry, just wanted to brag :) ............................................................................... You sir, are an anomaly! I challenge you to show me your manuals for the following parachutes: Advanced Air PEP Asquito PEP Ballistic Recovery Systems' PEP Butler Headrest pack Eclipse PEP Flying High's Slimline PEP Free Flight Enterprises' Preserve 5 canopy Handbury PEP Irvin lap-pack Jump Shack PEP National seat-type PEP Parachutes Australia long PEP Parachutes de France Flex-Pack Para-Phernalia "Softie" containing a square canopy Pioneer Thin-Pack PISA back-type PEP Reltny lap-pack Rigging Innovations' Aviator Security 150, 250, 350 and 550 Spekon RE-5L Stewart Systems PEP Westway pilot emergency parachute This challenge is awesome! :D If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  6. 0-40: Student gear 40-200: Spectre 190 200-400: Sabre2 150 400-800: Sabre2 135 800-1200: Vengeance 120 1200-2000: JFX91, (+- 50) Velo 90, (+- 50) Velo 84, (+- 50) Comp Velo 79 (a few) CF Storm 97 (+100) Spectre 120 (lots) +2000: Spectre 120 (wingsuiting) The speed of downsizing has gone up and down.. The 190 to 150 jump was stupid to make (at least for me), but I survived it, so that is good.. Had a few quite interesting landings, but since I followed the rules I didnt see a problem with it at the time.. Between jump 1200 and 2000 around 400 of the jumps are tandems, so that counts down a bit on jumps in the smaller canopies.. The progression in those was fast.. Sorta too fast, but I was jumping fulltime at that moment, so felt current and safe to do so.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  7. My vote goes for a Storm.. Currently using my Spectre 120 (and before that a Sabre2 135), which I love to fly, but somehow I just love the Storm (only used a 135 for ws twice and logged around 100 jumps on a CF Storm 97), but really enjoy the way it flies and opens.. So when my Spectre needs to retire I'll order a Storm if nothing better shows up in the mean time.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!

What, no pictures? This thread is worthless.. If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  9. That is the general way L&B does it.. Not really looking at what the problem is, just replacing the unit. Takes less time.. Makes us happy! If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  10. Both awesome canopies.. But if I had the money I would throw them after a JFX.. Mostly because I don't want to "swoop".. It seemed to be more reliable in openings.. But the Velo felt like it wanted to swoop more.. Damn I the speed.. :S If everything seems under control.. You're just not going fast enough..!
  11. Put him on the runway... Let''s see his gain-.. And yes, too drynk to know where i am... .
