  2. Most likely because he need a FS1 sticker to jump with other people. Its the one thing that has strangled the sport the most here, it was the change in the interpretation of that rule . I don't now what happened as i was not a member then Used to be a case that FS1 qualified jumpers would be able to jump with Non qualified to help them improve or just have fun, experience jumping with others without paying for a coach. Kind of pay back the way the experienced guys used to help the non experienced back in the day (before me ) Sadly the change in the rule interpretation is chocking new comers to the sport here. It used to be a lot cheaper when i started to travel abroad to Spain that depends on the exchange rate its your call justpin, we all at some point come up against this wall where we are not going as fast as we would like. Me i jump outside my country as there is not a place i want to jump there any more but then i just trail 3 hours out of Scotland to England to the nearest decent planes good luck what ever the choice mate Billy-Sonic Haggis Flickr-Fun

  10. Don't know about the state side of things John but what your talking about is like the UK free-view service. Where you receive certain channels for free and they need a digital receiver(UK changed from analogue to digital recently ), that doesn't cost much and now they usually come with back up drives in built

  15. Everyone is different and how they tackle things. Some learn from previous experiences gained while travelling through life, some its how they where brought up. The people that we now and raise us shape us to a great degree and that something that's bothered me for sometime as that teaching fabric from generation to generation has broken down in part from what i see in society and its sad to be honest. My parents taught us to stand on our own 2 feet very early on and not to look for or expect help in problem solving. Beat the problem yourself, adapt and overcome to a certain degree. That's why last week after a motorbike crash last year where i almost lost my right foot. My physiotherapist told me after 3 months they have taken me as far as they can and i have moved further and faster than they thought, Why i have returned to my other interest Hillwalking, why i am almost ready to resume jumping. i could have felt sorry for myself on waking after 5 days of surgery but my parents would have kicked my ass and told me to get up and i thank them for that

  19. So i decide after checking weather reports that the time had come to move on from my low level training stamina work, back to fitness and get my ass back on my training hill. Weather reports said snow flurries Tuesday and clear till Friday, we now how accurate weathmen are at times . So My new Scarpa Sl Activa boots turned up on Tuesday and tried them on. Fitted like a glove but decided well being leather they would need broken in and being C1 rated that would take time. wore them most of Tuesday with out any problems, so decided to use them. So come Wednesday got up at 04:20amYawn, dressed chucked my gear in the car and drove through the night to get to the Hill for a 6 am start. Knowing Ben Ledi well i was comfortable setting of in the dark, as i have done night time walks in the past and quite happy navigating in the dark. So setting off The first stage was through the low remaining Forrest which when i first did the Hill used to stretch half way up but logging and management now means that there is only a small section at the bottom that goes about 1/4 way now. The trail through the woods where blocked due to fallen trees from the last storm we had last month. Section 2 was the staircase where the rocks form a walk way up to where the old Forrest used to finish so stopped at the old fence and style for some munchies, while watching the traffic snake round the Loch below following their headlights. On and upward to the mentally challenging bit the false summit climbs. You now they are there but still depressing, even knowing they are there . On the way here the section was quite difficult due to loose rock covered in ice, just took time and care. up from the Munchies point at the style looking down from the base of the false summits onto Loch below base of summit climbs From the staircase to the false summits the snow started to build up as i went higher. I expected this so wasn't bothered. Getting there the wind picked up a bit so just started up on the fist hope ringing cheat. from there to the Summit it was a case of climbing up and trying not to stop for photographs too much , Stopped at the last hope killer to get a bit to eat and a drink to find my water bottles had frozen so Lucozade it was. er why they froze any idea me neither sun break on ward and up, another falser over that last one looking back
