Wasn't going to get into this conversation but its a personal choice to donate or not. I have donated to most of the threads asking for help here over the years but it does look like a worrying change in attitudes is occurring across the pond but perhaps elsewhere too ?. Most of the people i donated to here i have not met, some i have spoke to/some not. Some where good friends who i still miss . It varies in a big way as to the reasons they went in or got injured, i try not to judge. We all screw up at one point. Where i differ, what makes me try and help out. Is in the UK we have national health service. Which covers all through Tax contributions, sorry but non of the Medical insurance bullshit here. I was in a serious motorbike accident in 2011 which could have killed me by all accounts and took 6 weeks in hospital and a year to recover good enough to work again. I spent one night in a hospital after a motorcycle accident. I wasn't hurt that bad(broken left thumb and torn tendons in my left ankle and my total bill was over 35K. Thank Christ we have National Health service in the UK i spent 6 weeks after my Bike accident and had internal bleed on the spleen, fractured Neck, Smashed and de-gloved right foot. My advice for you would be to contact your federation and see what requirements are needed for your licence hereI haven't checked it as i don't have the time. It may give you locations of DZ in your area or around the country. Would also recommend seeing if there is a local independent website like this in NZ or Aus to gain experiences or gain lumper/ instructor information. As already mentioned elsewhere here i would consider Australia for its location and language as well as lifestyle similarities to where you live. Remember Dubai is a different country, different religion and beliefs with a different way of dealing with people. Some people tend to forget these things which is when it goes wrong.
