  1. I think a better way then spying on your daughter is to make sure that she trust you. Make sure that she knows that you respect her and hopes that she makes the right decisions. If she finds out that you are intruding on her privacy (viewing her emails) prepare for a world of shit. My mother/father never tried to spy on me. Instead they told me that they have a lot of respect for me and woudl hope that I would make the right decision. Them doing that to me gave me pride in what I did. With my parents always letting me know that they respect me and trust me put me in a position where I was honest with them. And that still holds true to today. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

  7. My Javelin should be arriving Feb 2nd. I picked it because out of all the rigs I tried on, it seemed to be the most comfortable. Also had a few people with experience recommend it to me. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  8. Check out the skydivestore (www.skydivestore.com). Art is having a sale on precision canopies, including the reserves! Right now they are selling brand new for under $1,000. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

  12. The padding of the helmet is what is keeping the dytter in the helmet. I made the cut out nice and snug so that its really hard to get out. The first picture is with the dytter in place, with the padding over it you cant even tell its there. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v373/outlaw12cz/DSCN0151.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v373/outlaw12cz/DSCN0152.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v373/outlaw12cz/DSCN0153.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v373/outlaw12cz/DSCN0154.jpg _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  13. Awesome, thanks guys. The package says 120db so it should be good to go. I worried that I would hav to go out and purchase a new helmet. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  14. I recently just purchased a Larsen & Brusgaard Solo Audible altimeter. When I turn it on it gives me a set of warning beeps so I am guess thats how loud it sounds. I am currently jumping a protec helmet that has no coverage for the ears so I cut a slot big enough for the audible and it fits good. I am just questioning if I am going to be able to hear the beeps when I am flying with all the wind noise. Does anyone current jump an audible in this configuration? Do you think its going to work, or am I going to go have to buy a skydiving helmet. Thanks for you help in advance. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  15. As of right now I don't know of any games taken advantage of dual cores. So anything that you play right now will not take advantage of both cores since its not optimized for it. Thats the bad news. The good news is that I believe a lot of future games (I am talking spring/summer 2006) should take advantage of that dual core and then your computer will really shine. Other than that you have one kick ass computer. With that much memory and graphics card games are going to look awesome! Just make sure you turn on AA and AF in your settings to take advantage of all that power. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  16. SDLI has a lot of future plans. I know that Ray took a bunch of officals up on tandems one year (as a surprise). I wouldn't worry about it too much, just enjoy the view and have fun jumping. In other news: I jumped the last jump of the season on sunday (sunset load) and holy crap was it cold! I couldn't feel my fingers when I got to the ground. Other than that I will see you guys next season! _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

  19. I don't think that number tells too much. The number 32,057 spans from the begining of the USPA (not sure of the date) and includes all the members from when it started to today. I think a better number would be number of deaths to number of jumps done by all members... or something along those lines. I just don't think thats a good comparison if you are trying to figure how often people die in skydiving. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  20. Atair's website has this to say about wingload and canopy size. Is this canopy safe for all pilots, or should it just be left to more experienced? I know that there is two different kinds of cobalts, the regular one and the cross braced one. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
  21. Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone flew a Fusion from Percision Aerodynamics?? I would love to know how it compares to a pilot, safire2, sabre2. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

  23. I believe you are right Jerry. I would tend to think that in such a risky sport the SF would be slightly higher then 20%. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity

  25. There has to be some sort of safety factor involved when designing stuff. As an engineering student I would believe that the max rated weight is still under what the actually rig can withstand. A test would be interesting, let us know how it goes. _________________________________________ www.myspace.com/termvelocity
