Unless he's a body-builder, 230lb is a lot for that height. Remwha's comments are the ones I'd run with.
-
Yeah, but not about my home team. Ireland will do exactly the same as the All Blacks, just earlier and against weaker opposition.
-
Don't worry. They'll choke later on against a team that's mentally tougher.

How are you stowing your HMA lines(size and type of bands)
bob.dino replied to fff3's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
Large on the locking stows. Small everywhere else. I don't like double-stowing. Partially 'cause it's a fucking pain in the arse. Actually, mainly because it's a fucking pain and I hate rubber bands with a passion. So, if I need to shorten the band, I do the double-stow on the d-bag. Advantages: you only ever need to do the double-stow once, and there's less chance of doing something stupid with the lines as you stow 'em. Even better, a lazy packer can't cause problems by single-stowing. -
Give it 2.5hrs...

While Dropzone.com is not responsible for individual ads, they have contracted with AdBrite to display them, so there is some responsibility for their content. You sure? In all cases? A very nasty payload can be delivered in an ad if AdBrite are not vigilant enough in their vetting.

Couple of questions Bill: 1- What do you load the 109 at? 2- Could you describe your front-riser turn technique?

B&H was my first thought too. However, if you do get a camera through them it'll probably only have a US warranty. When I bought a cam from them several years ago, their 3rd party (additional cost) international warranty supplier was Mack. Check that you're comfortable with their terms before parting with cash...

Cheap, comfortable, clear. Save the money for jumps or beer .

Nicely done -
Yes. No problems.

If she's not particularly technical, an Apple Macbook would probably be a good choice.

Nice post. Well worth reading.

\ 6) Smile. Even if you're forcing it.

XP or Mac. Vista isn't ready yet. Personally, I'd probably buy a Mac and use Parallels to run XP.

No more than two AFF jumpers on a load along with two arrows and two radio channels. Easy. And no, we're not a particularly small DZ - we have three turbines.
-
You have no idea .
-
That's how it works here. In addition to the AFF instructors, there's a Target Assistant who has a) a radio, b) a big arrow to point them in the right direction and c) a pair of paddles to help them time their flare. The radio is a backup. The TA is in place before the student exits the aircraft.

The USA uses 850 & 1900 MHz for GSM, whereas the rest of the world uses 900 & 1800 MHz. A lot of newer phones will handle all these bands, meaning you can just drop a SIM card in. What model phone do you have? (I'm off in 15 min, so if I don't reply, PM me).

CTRL + and CTRL - also change the font size in Firefox. Probably not in IE, but then why would you be using IE?
-
I'm not an AFFI, so could you explain the term "flushing" please? Thanks.

Metal Plane Frames Generally Don't Have a Lot of "Give"
bob.dino replied to ntrprnr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There must be 4 - the guy on the outside and the guy in the door would have trouble taking grips. Looks like a very odd attempt at a 2. Next time they gotta stack up further forward in the door! -
Have you asked them why they denied the first deal? Maybe they have a more thorough understanding of risk than you?
