  1. Nice work Mark on staying alive...some tips...if you intend going stowed then do a longer delay...you have the height...make sure the PC is packed and rigged correctly..if you are unsure speak to johhny utah for the rolls royce of PC technique lectures...dont be agressive with the toss as this may unstabilize you and dont use anything bigger or smaller than a 42.. if these are all suck egg type comments i apologise but they are worth considering glad you are alive mate...should see you this summer hopefully http://www.extreme-on-demand.com

    Base helmets

Carbon fibre for starters, maybe with some kind of custom built moulding system like the formula one seats or indy cars if you are a colonial...i have a pumpkin sized head so a lid thats built for my cranial cast would be perfect...oh yeah and some kind of chin cup deal thats comfortable,as removable as a normal chin strap but as fucnctional as a full face...or as close to that as possible... thats a few to be going on with.. http://www.extreme-on-demand.com
  3. people that speak one language usually speak English...thats because at one time we owned 75% of this planet and that was all you needed to know...its a bit different now we are owned by the USA and have some of the easiest immigration laws on the planet...(we even give saffers passports now).. I had better go and load the aloominum and plexiglass oreggano fawcett into the trunk of my station wagon.
  4. not really pogress...the same guy Dave Carter who now runs a "UK BASE School" teaching students has been busted on a lot of occasions...he doesnt call the locals,he jumps when its light/dusk he does downtown buildings at 8PM despite being told to wait till the early hours and basically uses the BASE freedom ideal as an excuse for bad ethics... i dont think you achieve progress by rubbing peoples noses in it...that just makes them want to look for ways to ban/criminalize BASE... the guy is a legend on your side of the pond too...well know in Florida as well as New York State...and possibly Atlantic City... progress..one step forward and maybe two back.

    NL base jump clip

does anyone know which add agency was behind this? i was asked by an amsterdam based agency about this job and was told they lost the pitch, maybe i was too expensive the reasons they filmed in south africa are that the production costs are cheaper (much much cheaper) than europe, the weather is better (most of the time) and the creative director wanted a free holiday This is the second time in as many years ivebeen asked to do BASE jumps for commercials and then the job has gone to South Africa..i hope the saffers arent just giving it away nice work whoever got the job and a very positive bit of PR for the sport. http://www.extreme-on-demand.com

    Last Holiday

thanks everyone...i did jump a wingsuit, however the leg wing and arms were either removed or disconnected as the dam was 470 feet at 6000+ ft ASL and as i was wearing a fat suit and a lot of other gear i wanted no restrictions if the worst happened...the delay was around 3.5 to 4 seconds into a nice landing area 3 feet deep with snow...they use me for the first bit then cut to austin priester doing the real wingsuit stuff from a plane.(the magic of cinema eh?) I was well looked after by the crew and no BASE jumpers were harmed during the making of the movie... theres a link here http://www.basejumper.org/forums/music_page.php?song_id=11&sid=c3845c128bc2d33725052eedf7f6a3aa laters im off for a nice low B. http://www.extreme-on-demand.com

  21. you UK basejumpers are so HARD, I can only hope that I will man up someday and be as HARD any time you like seppo...we see it all the time...lots of "experienced jumpers" come to party then when the arsehole starts puckering and the darkness starts to wrap around they have something better to do like shave the curtains or polish their trousers...its cool we have no problem with it...if youre scared just say so...dont come to the UK giving it large then leave your rig at home... 813 has a point...as do you...dont slag us off for being hard until you come and play here...then when youre 215 feet up landing in a tennis court at 3am you too can join the hard club...until then save your ramblings for labour day at perrine or your 2000 foot As with lifts...sorry elevators...i do wish i spoke american.. anyway im off to pack...remember its DZ.com not DZ.us laters

  24. skydivers...leave your rig and your logbook at the door...park your ego in the lot and bare your arse for all to see...then you might just win some respect, some mentors and an audience for your argument...if not go back to the DZ and leave living to the edge dwellers who know how to do it....flame away! http://www.extreme-on-demand.com
