  1. Wow...Exxon gave 40 billion a year to skeptic researchers? Which money like that, Gleik didn't need to fake up 'evidence' about Heartland at all!!! Try again - you know, something like mentioning the 23 million that Exxon donated over a 10 year period to skeptics. Of course, then we'd have to get into Exxon and other companies bankrolling the Stanford Global Climate and Energy Project. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  2. 70 billion in AGW research since 2008. Give us the 'big energy' numbers since 2008 so we can compare. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  3. "You hear what you want to hear and you see what you want to see." -- The Rockman, "The Point" Indeed you do. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  4. Since he's an AGW believer, he's obviously ok with it. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  5. Since you mention it, the operation began in 2006 when the OLD BOSS was president. Best commentary I've seen. So how come all you ODS victims weren't complaining about it in 2006? Probably because Operation Wide Receiver ended in 2007. "A rose by any other name". This is ODS, pure and simple. Obama Defense Syndrome? Yes, it is. Wide Receiver actually tracked the guns and the Mexican authorities knew about it - and, as stated above, *ended* in 2007. Contrast with F&F where guns *weren't* tracked until beside the body of a Border Patrol agent and the Mexican authorities weren't notified. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  6. He kept a cool head under pressure and did what needed to be done - kudos to him! Link Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  7. Yup...the whole "under the radar" gun control issue. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  8. Since you mention it, the operation began in 2006 when the OLD BOSS was president. Best commentary I've seen. So how come all you ODS victims weren't complaining about it in 2006? Probably because Operation Wide Receiver ended in 2007. Fast and Furious is all Obama/Holder. Then there's this little tidbit from CBS, last year: Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. 9. Why not, they're the same thing. From wiki: So, nope...not the same thing. But feel free to try and get stoned off of industrial hemp if you like. the subject that was meant to be under discussion is US foreign politics. The discussion derailed a long time ago into a discussion about legalizing weed. Which isn't the industrial hemp that you're trying to describe it as, although I'll admit the US is as stupid in not allowing the industrial hemp to be used as they are in not legalizing weed. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  10. And there you are, because we really need those posts that absolutely don't add anything at all. Like you bringing common hemp into a discussion regarding marijuana, you mean? And *still* has nothing to do with the subject under discussion. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  11. If you ignore the mind-altering part and the fact that it's a very resilient plant, hemp is anything but a weed. It's a very useful crop and it's a bloody shame it's outlawed because some idiots think it causes reefer madness in anyone that comes close to it. Common hemp is substantially different in regards to THC level. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  12. Says the poster that used the S&P as an example of the health of *small* businesses. I also quoted the Russell 2000 and explicitly stated businesses large and small. Try reading what is written for a change, instead of what you'd like to be written. You would do well to understand what many consider what a small business is. A median cap of $528 million is not what many consider a small business. Many consider a small business as one with fewer than 50 employees. You local plumber, electrician or grocery store would be a good example. Like these guys, you mean? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  13. Says the poster that used the S&P as an example of the health of *small* businesses. I also quoted the Russell 2000 and explicitly stated businesses large and small. Where the person you replied to specified 'small businesses'. To which you responded with the S&P example. Try taking your own advice - see explicit statement of 'small business', above. Then you can move on to using relevant examples for a change. The average market cap for a Russell index company is 1.2 BILLION dollars. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

  15. Bullshit. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  16. Wanna bet? It's not because of the guns - sorry to burst your bubble. There's some good analysis of the issue here, as well as a series of posts based on stats from 3 years ago, here (follow-on pages in the left margin). Except it's not. It's a cultural issue and a *crime* problem, not a tool used problem. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  17. STOP FUCKING SELLING OFF MY FUCKING MORTGAGE WITH MY FUCKING 900 CREDIT SCORE JUST SO YOU CAN FUCKING BUNDLE ME WITH THAT FUCKING MEXICAN WHO DOESN'T HAVE A JOB AND WHO BOUGHT THE $500K HOME AND DIDN'T HAVE A JOB! Buy like someone with a "900 credit score" and put more than 20% down and you won't get lumped in with the rest of the people that only put 20% down. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  18. Then why are guns deaths still down from their peak in the early 90's, while gun ownership continues to rise? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  19. So now you've gone from 'no religion in government' to the actual meaning, that there would be no national government - good for you, there's (slim) hope for you yet. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  20. Esther 9:2 - "The Jews gathered together in their cities throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus to lay hands on those who sought their harm." Luke 22:36 - "Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one." 22. Yep. That perhaps could be an average gun owner; frightening - and a real danger to everybody. Says the casual European hunter that has ZERO clue about what an 'average gun owner' in the US really is. I don't know, Mike. Clearly dumbasses are everywhere, and these kids are clearly 'posing' like some hollywood stereotype of a gangsta - you take any pair of highschool or college age boys and I offer to take a picture of them with a couple handguns, I bet 90% would forget to check the chamber and mag, and they would pose just like these idiots. You want to really place blame for bad image and poor education - put it on the arts' portrayals and on the LACK of responsible examples and teaching nowadays. I'm not thrilled with the idea of insulated city kids and adults that have no clue, that then get their guns. Me? I was raised with guns. It really is different. Even teaching my daughter correctly, she just doesn't have the culture that I did and I suspect the next generation after won't get the info and training that she did no matter how well I do it with her. the anti-gunners are completely wrong - but their actions are self fulfilling in the long run - they literally are creating a class of people that are too ignorant and careless to have any business using or owning firearms I don't disagree with the statement about dumb kids that don't know how to handle guns, but with the statement that it's consistent with 'an average gun owner'. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  23. Really? Then how did Soros contribute millions toward defeating Bush in '04? From your link: In early 2010, the United States Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that corporate funding of independent political broadcasts in candidate elections cannot be limited pursuant to the right of these entities to free speech. You appear to be confusing individuals with corporations or unions. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  24. Well said, Drew. Unfortunately, it will fall on deaf ears. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
