  1. Fixed that for ya, given the number of mind-reading posts you made in the thread you refer to. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  2. Yeah, Soros better get moving. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  3. Signs the Dems are sweating bullets over the presidential election: 1) Lists like the OP Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  4. Form 1040, line 61. Will go up if you don't buy health insurance. Yup, it sure will. No it won't. I'm not assessed an additional tax for not having a mortgage. No it won't. I'm not assessed an additional tax for not having whatever gizmo. Proven false, above. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  5. It can't make you and brenthutch open your eyes to reality. You mean the 'flat temps since 98' reality, or the one that YOU live in? You REALLY are getting desperate. The global average surface temperature in 2011 was the ninth warmest since 1880, according to NASA scientists. The finding continues a trend in which nine of the 10 warmest years in the modern meteorological record have occurred since the year 2000. NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) in New York, which monitors global surface temperatures on an ongoing basis, released an updated analysis that shows temperatures around the globe in 2011 compared to the average global temperature from the mid-20th century. The comparison shows how Earth continues to experience warmer temperatures than several decades ago. The average temperature around the globe in 2011 was 0.92 degrees F (0.51 C) warmer than the mid-20th century baseline. www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/2011-temps.html www.nasa.gov/images/content/616910main_gisstemp_2011_graph_lrg[1].jpg Ah, GISS... the database that's had to be corrected several times due to skeptics finding errors in it. Yes, now all the errors they can find have been corrected or debunked, so we can believe it. No, there's still the 'adjustments' that cooled the 30's and warmed the 70's and up to be corrected. Then maybe GISS will track with the other temperature datasets instead of being the outlier. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  6. So, since Romney *didn't* hide the offshore account, it's obvious that he's not doing anything illegal. Do you agree? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  7. Nope - just pointing out the miserable FAILURE of Team Obama. Nice attempt to deflect, though. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

  10. They're getting better, but they're still too short-ranged (true EVs), and still too expensive. When you get them into the same overall driving range and price as IC cars (with some way to quickly 'gas-up' the EV) is when you'll see them take off. Until then, they'll be primarily used for short commutes or as show-off toys. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  11. And just what debt is the private sector so busy paying off, pray tell? Specific examples, please. And again you incorrectly equate gov't debt with private enterprise. Try again - preferably with a *coherent* argument. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  12. Indeed - I'll be waiting for them to comment on Obama's recent claims of being outspent in 2004, where he spent 14.3 million to Keyes' 2.6 million. Or his claim of being outspent in 2008, where he spent 730 million to McCain's 333 million. Or maybe his claim of being outspent in THIS election, where he's spent 147 million to Romney's 104 million (as of 31 May). Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  13. “Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers.” - Barack Obama Mmm mmm mmm...Barack Hussein Obama! Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  14. Yes exactly! :) A country is not a business and should not be run like one. It puzzles me that people keep wanting to "slash debt" as if the country is anything like a business. No business sells 80-85% of its products to its own workers. Cheers! Shc No, my point is that your comparison is totally irrelvant; as in - it does not make the case either way that a country should or should not be run like a business. It does when people keep vilifying debt and they don't understand how "more debt can solve the growth problem". What happens when you go into austerity or debt cutting during a zero-bound economy? You're cutting your own people's wage and income and their ability to pay down their debt. Cheers!
  15. Since you've listened to the 911 call, you certainly recall that Zimmerman didn't want to give out his address because he didn't know where Martin was. So, how *else* did Martin end up back at the scene? Funny, the tenor of your posts seem to suggest otherwise. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  16. "'I'll take 'Type 1 Deniers' for $100, Alex" You'd be wrong, like usual: Link You can buy the crowbar to get your foot out of your mouth at any hardware store. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  17. And if Trayvon Martin had taken the common sense advice of continuing to the house instead of doubling back to confront/attack George Zimmerman, we wouldn't be talking about this right now. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  18. It can't make you and brenthutch open your eyes to reality. You mean the 'flat temps since 98' reality, or the one that YOU live in? You know, the one where the 'models' not only couldn't recreate the MWP but didn't forecast the flat temps since 98? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  19. It's the magical power of man-made CO2...there's *nothing* it can't do! Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706
  20. Mine starts 548- and I was born in London. 500-s are absolutely what were issued to those in HI. I have one kid who was born in Hawaii, and one who was born in Japan, but whose SS# was issued in Hawaii. Both start with 5. Just for curiousity's sake, what year was yours issued? Where did you physically apply for it? 545-573 are CA. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

  22. No bait? Sure there's not - shall I refer you to your two posts directly above where you allege that religious people can't/won't think? Then why do you keep doing it? And, again - the thread is about religious people and evolution. 1. You've already made the claim that religious people only think what religion tells them too. 2. You've said that you don't think I'm religious. Given 1 and 2 above, *WHY* do you then keep asking me if I "accept evolution", Steve? The thread is about "christians" accepting evolution...Not the "religious" as you assert. I made it clear that you need not feel compelled to answer. I asked you twice. You haven't answered, and I've stopped asking....How about this: Mike, I do not want to know where you stand on the issue of evolution, I do not want you to feel uncomfortable or skittish or threatened. No one will compell you to take a stand. You can relax. Feel better? It was a *very* nice 'concern troll' attempt, but ultimately unconvincing. Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim. POPS 9708 , SCR 14706

  24. If you don't think I'm religious, why are you asking me if I 'accept evolution', Steve? Evolution has nothing to do with religion, Mike. It's science. Do you accept evolution? The thread is about religious people accepting evolution, Steve. If you don't think I'm religious, *why* are you asking me if I 'accept evolution'? Mike I love you, Shannon and Jim.
