  1. I read through the thread and the basic thought I have (from experience) is the "D" is a GOOD rig. Cost is low and it is a solid option.. Does it have all the bells ans whistles?? --> NO compared to the "modern" rig options but it is reliable and workable.. The newer versions might be comparable and the "Pre" about 2000 versions, you have Velcro but there are upgrades and tuck tab upgrades like on the newer versions to make it a more Free Fly Friendly rig.... Basically it is a solid workable container. primary or secondary, depending on needs, it is a good option..... I have had about 3 of them over the years and would get another for a back up rig no questions... Look at a V3, Wings, Odyssey, Mirage, Infinity, or a Talon FS, you can argue they are a better option but most of it is fluff in a lot of respects, the "D" is a good workable safe option.. Laugh if they like but a Dolphin owner probably is on the same jump for about 50% less.... Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  2. I agree with Jarno on the upping the altitude a little for safety. Bigger suits are a completely different animal and can cause some strange issues not normally seen in a smaller suit. Separate from that. I put a 2 jumps on a S-Bird the other week before the rain started. First jump my Neptune did not record the FreeFall and said I exited at 2500' with 0 sec freefall. The flight was very nice and the suit felt very solid. I did a second jump on the suit from about 14.4K and the Neptune registered 3min 46 sec flight with an opening at about the same of 2500' I am looking forward to more flights on it to see what I can do with it after figuring out a few things with it. It is nice and responsive and inflates very fast, don't open up too soon out the door as you will go up relative to the plane very fast, watch out for that tail... One thing I did notice was that in a "good" performance body position, maybe not super maxed, the arm pressure was extremely easy to deal with for the long flight.. Now I only have 2 jumps on the suit so far and don't think I really "Maxed" it or flew it even close to what I could do, but that is one thing I noted while on the flights. I will try and push it harder next time and see if I get a Burn... I am looking forward to playing with it a bit more as I really think I can get some good stuff out of this suit. VERY Nice design.. 3. Years ago, sometime in the 90's, we had some Pops vs. Pups jumps at the Lost Prairie boogie. I don't think/remember either group completed the formation but it was a good excuse afterwords to drink and shout "We suck Less" over beer that evening.... Good times! Scott C. 4. Looked fun.. Second vid is set to "Private" so did not get to see it.. I am guessing it has a lots more of "FLY YOUR BODY" going on in it as well! Scott C. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  8. I have an earlier version of this that works well when I need to throw pictures or raw video onto a disk. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/631186-REG/Sony_VRDMC6_DVDirect_MC6_Multi_Function_DVD.html#features easy and has all the needed card slots or can hook a camera directly to it.. Just an option as I think there are some other things as well.. "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  12. Scott, I remember that coming up for the GoPro a little while back. Clint, look here http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3773577;search_string=GoPro%20Glove;#3773577 I still think your talking 2 gloves for the 2 types of cameras.... Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  13. Assuming the rig is as you described you are probably looking at Approx $500 USD for each part so the value might be realistically a little higher then the offer... There is a V3 with a Raven reserve in the Classified's for $1400 now that is a couple of years older from '95 and a Talon with a Raven 150 a couple years newer for $1500, both with out mains.... But that said the only thing that matters is if the price your willing to let it all go for is at that price... From what you noted though, it seems that a little more might be fair as well but I can't say based on not seeing the set up... My guess is $1500USD would be fair.. but your only talking about a $150 difference and a firm offer.... Split the diff and go with $1425... Just my $0.02 Scott C "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  14. The glove for the CX100 should work for a CX150 the bodies are pretty close as I understand it. The GoPro is a completely different shape then the CX line..... CX100 Dimensions: Width (inches) 2.1875 Height (inches) 2.375 Depth (inches) 4.5 CX150 Dimensions: Width (inches) 2 Height (inches) 2.2 Depth (inches) 4.5 GoPro HD Dimensions: Width (inches) 2.4 Height (inches) 1.6 Depth (inches) 1.2 As I see it you are talking 2 different gloves for the 2 types of cameras. Talk to Simon at the link I noted as he might be able to help. Again my guess for the CX150 is that the CX100 glove will work... "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"

  18. This thread got me looking and what about this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350291013594&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT YouTube had a vid that says was shot with a Nikon 5000 and this lens. Did not look too bad and even if it is not perfect the price is not bad and seams to be a really nice value for the money... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvgHbhxOYY8 So for under $300 USD delivered on e-bay with mounts for Canon, Nikon and Pentax has anybody seen/tried it? 21. http://www.adorama.com/RXHD3032.html Apparently the Raynox 3032 was discontinued (see that noted on the B&H Site) but I see the link is noting them for under $100 and they have 4 left in stock. I like mine and it does a great job, PLUS you can zoom through it compared to single element WA lens's Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  22. There are some nice Pictures there! Looks like a great time.. Was the shot of the 6 way line just a snap and it never completed? "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
  23. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSFQaE73pdE With all the arguing going on here this looks like some fun! I am guessing they were they using radios? It is very nice to be able to cue the moves like that for fast formation changes! Also, who was that in the black and orange V3, Robi? Very Nice flying again! Scott "He who Hesitates Shall Inherit the Earth!"
