  1. I looked at it and it doesnt mention amnesty for gang members. It just states that in the application form they list criminal history, gang members and renunciation of gang affiliation. Later it states that they will perform a full background check. Read parts of the bill. It's pretty damn strict. If at anytime the illegal has received even a freaking felony DUI he is inadmissible.
  2. That's the real scary part. No data on them. We dont know if they're gang members, convicted sex offenders, drug runner, dealers, or into trafficking humans. One part I really liked about this bill was it was going to gather up data on these illegals. The Department of Homeland Security would even know if one had been convicted of a felony DUI and then deny them a green card.
  3. The Economist did a report on depressed wages, loss of jobs, and it found that globalization has a more profound impact than illegal immigration. Also the jobs you're talking about are migrant farming jobs. Would you be willing to work out in 100+ degree heat picking produce for a few bucks an hour. Last I saw illegals didn't threaten my job or the jobs of my friends. Actually one of my friends just got laid off. Not because of an illegal, but because the company could outsource his position to India. Seems that programmers there are willing to work for half of what he was paid here.
  4. Thats what the bill does. Fix the borders and then start addressing the other issues. Have you read any of it? It's not a perfect bill, nor do I think one could be made, but it's a start. What do you find wrong with it?
  5. Have you read the bill? I'm starting to read it. It's not all about amnesty. What do you find wrong with it? A good portion of the bill deals with border security. It's not a perfect bill, but it's a start. I hate to say this, but I'm with Bush on this bill. I think most people see amnesty and illegals in the same sentence and jump to conclusions. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=s110-1639
  6. Just take a look at this if you think the iPhone will be a flop. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ta?s=AAPL&t=5y&l=on&z=m&q=l&p=&a=&c= How many people here would be willing to bet against that track record. Personally, I'm not going to buy one. I'll wait a year or two for the 2nd and 3rd generation But I think Jobs is on the right track with the iPhone and combining everything into one portable unit.
  7. I dont think Harry's scar could be one. If it was, why would Voldemort want to kill Harry.
  8. "You're going to need a bigger boat" Jaws. That movie has some great one liners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OnaZ8r3p8g
  9. Didn't you say you had 2 free training sessions. Why dont you ask your trainer. He might shed a little more little into what's going on. Looks like you're also keeping tabs on what you eat. You should check out The Abs Diet book. It helped me out with nutrition a lot.
  10. Did a quick internet search on him. Pretty impressive what he has accomplished. Also looks like he has no formal training in culinary arts, just hotel management.
  11. In college I interned for a broker who dealt with accredited investors and he would only talk to you if your net worth was at least $2 million. At that level of investing so many avenues are open to you that are not accessible to regular investors like you or I. In my view they're not crooks, just filthy rich. Like most senators.
  12. Very well put. Another thing Paris is getting is a ton of free publicity. Money cant buy the amount of publicity she is getting. I would venture to say it's in the tens of millions of dollars now. If she plays her cards right, which I think she will, she will make a ton of money off of this experience.
  13. That's not usually true. Some people just know what the public loves and they cater to that. Paris is a prime example. I can't stand her, dont really find her attractive, but will say I respect her for knowing what masses want. Hell, I wish I had a famous last name. It would open up so many doors. What I do with those opportunities is upto me. Look at Sophia Coppola. I think she is an amazing director. Do you honestly think if her last name was James she would be where she is at right now. She would probably be a server is some hollywood restaurant waiting for a break.
  14. Personally I can't stand her, but she is not freeloading off of mom and dad. At least give her that. She has a famous last name and she uses it. What's wrong with that. Hell, she gets paid millions for doing nothing. I read in the LA times that in Vienna they paid her over a million dollars just to show up to an event. Like I said before I cant stand her and thinks she's ugly, but she's doing something right and getting paid millions.
  15. I rescued an Akita 5 years ago and she is the sweetest dog I've ever owned. Whatever breed you get make sure you spay or neuter the dog ( too many dogs and cats in shelters) also start training the puppy early on. Read up on different breeds and pick one that best fits your lifestyle. Also pick up a few books on dog training methods. The Monks of New Skete have two out that are very insightful and I highly recommend both books.
  16. Agreed. SNL is crap now. No way they could get away with that today. Here are two of my favorites. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgQHfGIZ5QE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5S9AJvhdww
  17. You're correct, but the lime you are referring to is calcium oxide not the fruit. Gotta be careful with those online translators. Wonder what the server would say if you ordered cal at a mexican restaurant.
  18. Hey there's always hope that it might clear up. I was going to jump this weekend, but busted my ankle yesterday playing tennis. Doc says 4-6 weeks. I'll just stick to surfing and skydiving from now on.
  19. Why limit yourself to just one combination? Mix and match. Wow nice collection, both alcohol and guns. Are the middle ones Lugers?
  20. Excellent reply. You forgot to mention one important thing: religious insurgency. These two group have been going at it for over 1,000 years well 1,300+. What makes us, USA, think we can bring peace and democracy to these two groups.
  21. You're talking about Pedophiles. Did you even read the link I posted. Here's a exert: "Other researchers have taken different approaches, but have similarly failed to find a connection between homosexuality and child molestation. Dr. Carole Jenny and her colleagues reviewed 352 medical charts, representing all of the sexually abused children seen in the emergency room or child abuse clinic of a Denver children's hospital during a one-year period (from July 1, 1991 to June 30, 1992). The molester was a gay or lesbian adult in fewer than 1% in which an adult molester could be identified – only 2 of the 269 cases (Jenny et al., 1994)." You have to stop pointing the fingers at a minority and look at the hard facts. Child molestors and pedophiles are f-ing sick people that need to be put away. My mom worked for the courts, in her 10+ years of experience most of the child molestors where white, hetero males. The sick part was that in a lot of cases it was either the father, uncle or someone really close to the family.

    Cheaters

Pretty much summed up what I think. Also cheating is dangerous, so many STDs out there.
  23. Blame it on the gays. If you look at scientific research, sexual orientation has nothing to do with child molestation or pedophiles. http://psychology.ucdavis.edu/rainbow/html/facts_molestation.html Watch the show 'To Catch a Predator' most of the men caught on that show are white hetero males 25yo+ attracted to girls who are barely 16, one even claimed she was 13 or 14.
