I would ask your doctor. It looks to me like he pretty much told you to refrain from ANY physical activity that could result in an impact to the leg. Plus it's only ONE month, why risk your whole summer. You mess up a landing and aggravate the injury, now you're out a few months and your whole summer is gone. Why risk it. The guy doesn't know what he's talking about. A border patrol agent knows more on this issue than some of the brightest political and economic minds this nation has. Illegal immigration is not a black and white issue. It's so complex that there is not right or wrong answer. One study I read from a reputable source stated that even if all eligible resident and citizens were employed there would still be a shortage of cheap labor that needs to be filled. Another study found an small net positive impact on the overall US economy of 10 billion USD. In the scheme of things this is a drop in the bucket when our GDP is in the trillions of dollars. Bottom line is we, our economy, needs cheap unskilled labor.

China doesn't need to invade, all they need to do is dump all the US Treasury Bonds they have or just mention that. The impact on our economy would be far worse than any nuclear strike they could manage at the moment. They would also screw themselves over. Iran cant invade, but on an economic level they can and are hurting us. Iran wants to set up the Iran oil bourse. In this derivatives market oil will be priced in Euro rather than USD. If this new market is successful it would give the euro a foothold on the international energy market. Traders would no longer need to keep USD on hand, they could use EUR as an alternative currency. Oil traded in EUR would benefit millions and in turn would loosen our hold in this market. Not only that but it could set up the stage for a currency, USD vs EUR, fight.

Overall I think it's great what Fox did. One thing people don't know is prior to this new law, a judge in Mexico did not have a set rule to fall back on as to what amount constituted 'personal' use. So someone caught with a briefcase full of coke could persuade a judge to think that a few kilos were for the personal use. Also this new law allows local police to arrest you. Before only the Federales could, which opened the door for local cops to impose 'fines' on people so the feds would not get involved. I'm not saying this new law will end corruption, but at least it's a start.

I see your point, but it still needs to be looked at. On the way to SF from LA there are very few gas stations and if one decides to charge $10 a gallon there is nothing I can do but suck it up and pay since that might be the only gas stations around for 50+ miles.

I'm fine with your beliefs, but what gives you the right to trample other religions. Cant you just be happy that another human being found the path to God through other means, or does it have to be through Jesus. I'm an agnostic and if there is a God I find it petty to think that this divine entity would only accept you if and only if you accept Jesus. Excellent point. Nor have I ever seen a Buddhist or Hindu protesting a funeral just because the person was not living a Buddhist or Hindu lifestyle. Sometimes I feel threatened by Christians who are adamant about pushing the Christian lifestyle down my throat. Grown up around dogs all my life. It's not the dog its the way you raise it. Granted some breeds are more prone to aggressive behavior, but to say xyz breed is dangerous just because it's that breed is ignorant. One of my neighbors has a cocker spaniel that's a SOB and would attack you w/o provocation. Is that dog more dangerous than a properly raised and trained American Staffordshire or German Shepard? Bottom line is the way you raise the dog.

Which Americans are you referring too? If you have a college or advanced degree you don't have to worry about illegal threatening your job. Now if you are a HS dropout then I would be worried. Like it or not illegal take the least attractive jobs in our economy. Look at the meat packing and agriculture industry. There is a demand for low skilled, and low pay labor. Who's going to fill that void. Read Fast Food Nation and go to the chapter on the meat packing industry. I doubt any American would subject themselves to the work these immigrant do. It's simple supply and demand. Our economy needs low skilled, unskilled, cheap manual labor.

Who would you pin it on then. You cant deny that in the last 100 years more man made pollutants have been introduced into the environment than in all of human history. And to say that these will not have any affect on the environment, however minute, is insane.

The 2000/12 stat is interesting. I would like to know what type of crime these kids committed and if any of them have gang affiliations. My guess would that a good majority of those 2000 are gang members. I don't think most countries have the gang problem we have. There was a show a few days ago on MS13 and they interviewed a few members. These were kids 14-18 yo and some were already stone cold killers. In those instances they should be locked up for life. When you're that ingrained into a gang and that life style there's not much the system can do.
