I've got a small handfull of flights co-piloting that one and i'm glad to see it restored to it current condition. Nothing better than firing it up and having everyone come out to watch her rumble past.

Learn what a rudder is for. Learn to use the trim. Listen to your CFI. Dont forget to look outside you will be learning to fly with visual references also.

Meyers OTW I believe.

Go now! You may never get another chance.

Carefully...... and with style.

Round engines up front and a little wheel on the tail are the coolest. For a short while my old D.Z. had a Beech 18. When it was running everyone came out to watch, on the other hand a turbine engine barely raises an eyebrow anymore. They may be old fashioned technology but radials are very cool. Just to stir up trouble with the other pilots, what would you rather fly a Super Cub or a Cirrus. Yeah I thought so.See ya at the grass strip.

Little wheel on the back and a round engine up front. Thats what fun is made of.

Does anyone have any experiences with ATP's Flight Schools?
Tailwheel replied to Bobster's topic in The Bonfire
Yes. -
Right rudder, Right rudder! Any one who's taken flight lessons has heard that on a daily basis. Just for fun look into p- factor and dont forget spiraling slipstream also.

The FAA would probably give it an experimental certificate at best and it's not a "legal" jumpship unless it's in the normal or utility categories of certification.I seem to remember a AN-2 biplane that was being used for a short time until the Feds came and shut them down. I feel for ya guys, turboprops and a 'gate. Sounds like fun for all involved.

Which way would YOU go for flight training??
Tailwheel replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
When the approach goes down to minimums and you break out into a cold sweat you'll relize that money does'nt matter as much as you thought. Go for the training with the instructor you know and respect. You might not get the chance to regret a bad decision. D.R. CFII -
Want to know more. Call you'r local flight school or do a web search for Be A Pilot or go to AOPA.org. If you truely love it there's nothing else like it, except for skydiving. PM me for a more in depth answer. I work as a flight instructor and understand your situation.

1. Tell us about your flight sim experiences. Sometimes pilots think those stories are cute. 2. Some people are just annoying all on their own. 3.Please dont jump out with the keys to my Cessna. I'll be tempted to land as close to you as possible so I can get them back promptly. 4. Be careful! I see Chris is taking notes and all troublemakers will be added to "THE LIST" P.S. Have a nice flight[;)

Be wary of the Dodge. My fleet had twelve and five had moderate to serious problems. The transmissions can be a weak area for Dodges and i've also heard that front end suspensions wear out faster on their trucks with the larger engine packages.

Not only are they fine pilots, some are also great guys and a few still are skydivers. I had the privledge(sp) of knowing a few at my old DZ.

Judge halts Andover skydiving
Tailwheel replied to JoeyRamone's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Just to throw in my two cents worth. Is anyone a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association(AOPA) at this DZ. When it comes to this kind of thing these guys are the ones to have on your side. As I see it part of the argument is directed towards the aircraft and a local judge attempting to supercede Federal Regulations regarding there operation. Unfortunately not a rare occurance but the AOPA has dealt with this before. Just a thought and hope it helps the DZ. -
Light 'em up! Recreational explosives are great fun.
-
Never fly the "A" model of anything.
-
I've been told that by using the proper amount of slip the side doors will fly open. These are'nt b.s. stories either they come from a reputable source. Me personally, My jumpships either are Cessna's or have a slide open side cargo door.

Boyles law is a good excuse, but I fly some jumpers who stink up the plane just for the fun of it. Why else would they be smiling.

Damn!!
