I've got a small handfull of flights co-piloting that one and i'm glad to see it restored to it current condition. Nothing better than firing it up and having everyone come out to watch her rumble past.

Learn what a rudder is for. Learn to use the trim. Listen to your CFI. Dont forget to look outside you will be learning to fly with visual references also.

Meyers OTW I believe.

Go now! You may never get another chance.

Carefully...... and with style.

Round engines up front and a little wheel on the tail are the coolest. For a short while my old D.Z. had a Beech 18. When it was running everyone came out to watch, on the other hand a turbine engine barely raises an eyebrow anymore. They may be old fashioned technology but radials are very cool. Just to stir up trouble with the other pilots, what would you rather fly a Super Cub or a Cirrus. Yeah I thought so.See ya at the grass strip.

Little wheel on the back and a round engine up front. Thats what fun is made of.

Umm, whats wrong with landing a Stearman on wet grass?

Does anyone have any experiences with ATP's Flight Schools?

Yes. -
Right rudder, Right rudder! Any one who's taken flight lessons has heard that on a daily basis. Just for fun look into p- factor and dont forget spiraling slipstream also.

The FAA would probably give it an experimental certificate at best and it's not a "legal" jumpship unless it's in the normal or utility categories of certification.I seem to remember a AN-2 biplane that was being used for a short time until the Feds came and shut them down. I feel for ya guys, turboprops and a 'gate. Sounds like fun for all involved.

Which way would YOU go for flight training??
Tailwheel replied to ACMESkydiver's topic in The Bonfire
When the approach goes down to minimums and you break out into a cold sweat you'll relize that money does'nt matter as much as you thought. Go for the training with the instructor you know and respect. You might not get the chance to regret a bad decision. D.R. CFII -
Want to know more. Call you'r local flight school or do a web search for Be A Pilot or go to AOPA.org. If you truely love it there's nothing else like it, except for skydiving. PM me for a more in depth answer. I work as a flight instructor and understand your situation.
