The acronyms for the USPA licenses: A = Asshole B = Bastard C = Cooler than most on the DZ, but not as cool as I will be when I get to D D = Dickhead -
Every DZ I have visited has somebody like stratostar described, usually a low-time jumper that is impressed he has made it that far in the sport. This person feels that he is the skydiving authority that everyone should obey and look up to. Anytime I visit a DZ and one of these characters starts barking orders at me like a drill sergeant, I pack my rig, pay my tab, and leave. I'm paying to be there, the DZ is not paying me and I'm not speding my cash to listen to that crap.

Marvin's Boogie started as a bi-annual event during 1995 at the Smithville TN airport. The featured aircraft of the first few boogies was Dave Norcutt's King Air 200. As mentioned before, the last one held was 30 miles away at the McMinnville airport in 2003. Marvin is no longer an active skydiver but he sure knew how to organize a great boogie. The aircraft flown at various boogies included Dave's King Air 200, Paul Fayard's Casa and Twin Otters, and Mike Mullin's King Air.

Living in Nashville, nowhere to jump.

Hey Crystal, I may have been the person from TN that you met at Elsinore. You were not very happy with your full face helmet the day I was there. Maybe I'll see you at another DZ soon. -

Why did the Clarksville DZ close so soon? Didn't they just open a few months ago? -
Any more info on this?

Demo team jumps into wrong stadium
skywade replied to AggieDave's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
This demo is getting a lot of laughs around the Raleigh, NC area. I saw a video of the jump on the local news last night and heard a couple of morning disc jockeys laugh and make fun of the jumpers this morning. I think the word "idiots" was used to describe the jumpers at some point in their conversation. -
I'm one and have been for 12 years.

Starts at noon Thursday if they have enough jumpers signed up. If not, Friday thru Sunday. I have jumped there a few times before but that was a few years ago. Don't know if I would know many jumpers this time around.

Anyone going? I am trying to decide if it would be worth the 8 hours of round trip driving that I will have to do.

Muff Muff Johnny Gates...........
skywade replied to xenaswampjumper's topic in Blue Skies - In Memory Of
I just found out about Johnny as my computer has been down for a few day. This news has ruined my day and makes me really sad. During my 14 years in the sport, Johnny Gates was one of my favorite skydivers to jump with. He defined what the sport is all about: FUN. I always enjoyed his positive, fun attitude and the Magic Carpet rides that he organized at WFFC. What a loss. -
Hey Peanut, Has you lady ever fired a bottle rocket from between her tits?
