I was not aware that there was a time when the Vigil was not allowed in Germany, but i checked the German Parachute Federation and you are right. They used to be banned in 2004 for a couple weeks. Mine would be to keep the seatbelt on even when the seat belt light is off. It is what is recomended anyway and is good to have in turbulence as well. Actualy the carbon fiber shell of the skyhelmets is the reason why i bought the Skyhelmets Fujin, but you are right last i heard the lead time is still 8 months. If it does not cost anything you are the product.

I would disagree that you cannot go wrong with the G3. It is a helmt from 2011 as you say but it is just plastic, there are a lot of full face carbon fiber helmets offfering better protection. Still a good helmet, but there is a reason fiber helmets are the material of choice for motorcycles if you want something really good that lasts. If it does not cost anything you are the product.

I know of tow cases, but both are mains. One was a wingsuit jumper who went unconcious on opening of the canopy. He suffered a broken pelvis and some other bones as well as internal injuries. He just barely made it but is ok today. Through all the medical examinations because of the injuries they also foud a tumor that they sucessfully removed, it may habe been the reason why we got unconcious. The canopy was medium sized for his weight. Another was a jumper that impacted under a big canopy (170+) on asphalt, unfortunately he died. Both incidents where in Germany. Carbon Fiber has been uses for Motorcycle Helmets for decades and i have never heard of carbon fiber shattering and that causing issues. I believe if the force is strong enough to shatter carbon fiber (and not just crack) your brain would already be reduced to a red meaty mass with white skull fragments in a regular skydiving helmet. There is a reason why glass and carbon fiber helmets are the better choice for helmets than regular plastic shells. It also does not loose as much strength over time as other plastic materials do. Not sure if this is really relevant, the carbon fiber in a helmet is surounded by non conductive resin. Getting to get the resin off the carbon fiber the only possibly way i have heard of is pyrolyse and that is not happening during an accident. :-) I could see issues with titanium in your skull as well if short circuiting is an issue. I wonder how that is prevented in surgury if conductivity is an issue? Slightly off topic now... If it does not cost anything you are the product.

The Tonyl ICE is tested to European and US Standards. The upcoming Skyhelmets Fujin is also supposed to be tested to a specification, not sure which exactly. The Fujin is a full face. If it does not cost anything you are the product.

A friend of mine that has a few more kgs than you uses a Suit by http://www.rainbowsuits.com/ i believe it had coords buit into it from the wrist to the hips. If he would pull on those his baggy freefly suit would be more like a camera suit. That always worked very well for him, it was much more fun however to freefly with him on his belly. :-) If it does not cost anything you are the product.

@OzziDave The FTP narrow is basically a camera Helmet. Since i only jump DSLR ocasionally that a way to big and professional setup, but thanks. @Anachronist Yes, i want the DSLR and the action cam. But if there is a good option that will offer just one or the other that may be interesting as well. I would like to sidemount my new Sony just like my old Sony PC2 :-) that should leave enough space on the top for a DSLR. Hello, i have been out of the helmet market for a couple years now, but now my Rawa Helmet is beginnung to deteriorate and i need a replacement. Additonally my GoPro drownd while scuba diving, so a new setup is required. I ocasionally want to continue jumping my Cannon 700D SLR and i think i will get a Sonny FDR-X3000 or HDR-AS300. I don't want to have a huge Helmet, more something like a Tonfly 2X Helmet. Are there any other Helmet Options i should consider? If it does not cost anything you are the product.
