  1. If you where not trying to diss me, then why dont you clearly state in plain english exactly what you meant ? Theres too many people using this forum to blow chunks and spout steam. Well you have your preference and god given right as tandem master, to dictate the skydive.. as do I. Techniques and 'stuff' as u put it have been around longer than you, Cameraflyers worldwide have produced outstanding footage which shows this sport and promotes it to such a great extent that people feel the skydive, from the arm chair, and want to experience this incredible rush, therefore increasing the numbers of tandem skydives and newcomers to this sport every year. It is in our best interest to share experiences and techniques and grow as professionals, so we can keep the sport alive and make it easiler accessable to the average joe, and this all starts with promoting our sport and making it visually exciting. Do you want to be of this evolution? i do, this is why I want to know what other Pro's are doing. i dont need to tell you or anyone my experience, what i have or for how long is irrelevant. I dont need to bragg, jump numbers mean nothing to me... lets talk about how many you did last season?, then we can get into some real fiqures. So *shrug* whatever you want to believe. if you have something interesting you want to share or contribute, then do so. Perhaps, just maybe, I can learn from you. then we contribute to what makes things great. thankyou Jordy
  2. Ok aggiedave... lets not enter a bitching session, your not qualified enough .. I have asked a straight question.. lets keep the thread open for experienced professonal skydivers.. side spin? from your experience, and jump numbers I guess you have had a lot of experience ... ( thats a joke ) So piss off .. dont use the forums for slagging or dissing people.. you dont know enough.. So again.. anyway so all you professional or semi Pro camera flyers...what exit technique do you use..?...
  3. I ahve just bought a canon 20d... oustanding piece of kit, also from my other work I have got a Konica Minolta 7D, havn't tested yet, but I would go for a Canon 20d
  4. same as me... the 0.3 works well... I may this year try that 0.2... any experiences?
  5. talk to tony uregello at tony suit, he makes a jacket with c wings ( great for head up flying ) and cost about 180 $, its perfect because in the summer you can wear with shorts. Its a high quality bit of kit and mine has lasted 2.5 years with no visible wear and tear, over 800 camera jumps get your rigger to mount the wing clips on your legstraps.
  6. dude take the lense of the cam and sit them in the sun out of wind etc... wait about 20 mins until they heat up, clean well with a lense cloth on the mouting side and remount and gaffer tape up to the max... I have done this and it works a treat, no chemicals or bollox.. just nature and patience.
  7. go for the 15 inch... much better working enviroment.. I have started this season doing all my edited on my mac... takes longer but the results are superb.. let me know how you get on
  8. Hi Apologies if this has been posted before, i have searched for this subject and cannot find. I am playing with some exits with a good mate of mine, now we are not talking the standard exit, that we all know , more along the lines of ' interesting ' linked exits, before droque deployment. What exits technique do you do ?, describe the technique for both tandem pair and videoflyer. I am interested in methods that capture the feeling of the passenger from close up, if you have had any narly experiences please list. For reference we use Porter.

  10. I had a lineover mal packed this year by a dropzone packer at Lillo. But considering the odds and my friendship with the dude, i just palmed it off, I wasn't going to make a big issue of it, he bought me a beer. I think my action depends on the reaction of the packer after the chop. I have in the past, been pretty pissed with a few packers and made them pay the repack. If the canopy was damaged, I would probaly demand payment. Packers are generally overworked and underpaid, they have a hard job, and pack all day to make decent cash. I respect them and for me they are the most important workers on the DZ. So anyone out there who cannot pack for their lives, dont give them a hard time !!

  15. news Just in !!! French Terror Alert AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "run" to "hide." The only two higher levels in France are "surrender" and "collaborate." The rise in the terror alert level was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed one of France's white flag factories, thus totally disabling their military

  18. phantom is a great guy... i was delayed by 3 hours in orlando and the dude stuck around for me ... patient as hell !!!!!!! and hes cheap !!
  19. For me varies on passenger weight and size etc... given the chance I will slide in on my arse normally, but with a good wind I will do a straight in and a deep flare and stand up...but with passenger legs up and get them to stand. Its very important to judge the moment correctly and do the safest approach and protect yourself and the passenger.I would say that the landing part is the most critical and dangerous part of the tandem skydive.
