  1. A better question would be, "Does anyone in this sport NOT have back problems?" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  2. I got to inspect and test jump one. Very clean design. I think the craftsmanship was very high end. They must have some amazing sewers! Some cool features too. Like the riser protection. It extends past the reserve tray. Plus it comes with all the bells and whistles as standard. Articulated, stainless, comfy backpad.... As for the web site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and find: Skip Intro and go directly to : Take me to Sport Parachutes. PM me if you have any other questions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  3. Okay. What the heck is the deal with the kittens? Someone please explain the madness! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  4. I'm still trying to figure out what is easier, being a consultant or actually doing the job? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  5. Some of us stay up late. I have my own business >> GRAVITY GEAR
  6. I agree with paying teachers more. I am a mother. But I am also a pilots wife. And let me tell you something. Overpaid my ass! By the time a pilot makes it to the majors and is promoted to captain, plenty of struggle takes place. Every penny you have and some you don't have goes into training. Every waking hour is spent studying. Then you fly little more pay than the hours you log. When you finally aqure enough hours to be hired by an airline your pay is so poor that your family qualifies for food stamps, but the airline you fly for won't let you apply for them because it bad for the corporate image. Then at some point in your career you WILL BE furlowed. My family has moved 5 times in the last 3 years. My daughter has not had her daddy home for Christmas, New Years, Birthdays or ANY holiday her entire life. We spend holidays in hotel rooms traveling to be whereever daddy is. At some point in my husbands career he will make over 100K. I don't expect that to be for another 10 years. This career is not for the money. It is for the love of flying. Period. Now you got me going! GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR. p.s. I only stay with him because he looks sexy in the uniform. And he swoops better than me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  7. If I can get the attachment right.... ....check out this video of a self-induced line twist at just over 1000 feet. Yes. She cuts away and pulles her reserve in plenty of time. http://madstyle.net/videos/lisa_1st_rsrv.mpg ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  8. Watch videos and study flying techniques that you can try out when you get back in the air. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  9. Never stop flying your parachute until it is lying in a heap beside you. If you drive a car with your arms LOCKED in place, you WILL veere left or right. If you fly a parachute with your arms LOCKED straight up, you WILL veere left or right. Small adjustments are required to keep your canopy flying straight. Never stop flying or your canopy will take control ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  10. To help prevent a pilot chute in tow. The pilot chute and bridal form a right angle to the pin when the pc is launced. The curve allows the pin to slide out with much less pull force. Since you are pulling the pin manually and in a straight line with the pin on a pull out system, the straight pin works fine there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  11. Two is a good idea if you don't wear a visual altimeter. Or if you don't look at your visual in freefall. Like in competition. Then the second is a backup in case one fails. If they both fail, you always have your eyes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  12. It is my understanding that a little give is beneficial. If it was tight against the handle, it would pull from the riser end when you pick up the rig by the shoulder/yoke. Just like your reserve cable has a bit of slack in it. Does that make sense? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  13. Put your current rig up for sale. Then shop for another smaller used one in the same price range. PM me if you have further questions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  14. You are leaving out too many variables. Jump numbers is just one variable. Gear. Gear maintenance. Conditions. Etc. Etc. Etc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. Don't worry. After the first 100,000 you get really quick at it. I love folding laundry at home now, 'cause it takes about 2 seconds. My husband laughs at the way I fold all his shirts so the logo shows. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. Get a 50% non-refundable deposit on ALL custom ordered gear. Balance due upon receipt. Once bitten twice shy. I never deviate from my policy now. Also, I refuse to sell gear that I think is inappropriate. If they can buy the smaller stuff elsewhere, then they will have to buy it elsewhere. I have refused sale to a customer only to see him get it elsewhere and paralyse himself the next week. Again. Reassures my beliefs in selling only the right gear. Service is good in other industries. Service is imparative in this industry. Stick to your guns. What kind of gear are you getting stuck with. Let's see if we can figure this out... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. A few in Colorado, but I wouldn't want to jump there right now. Brrrrr ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. I think his canopy will be flying slower. Are you going to DZs with lower elevation than 4300? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. Yeah, but then I won't even have a come back for his taunts! It's not like Horizon Air is forking out the dough. Life is good! I don't live in an RV anymore ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  20. How much does Jet charge per hour? She is priceless, but she has definitely increased business! She is my little PR rep. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  21. Isn't that what I said? Also, it could prevent broken lines, right Chop Chop? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  22. They have an internet cafe at Eloy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  23. They are a bit different that the Mirage. They extend past the reserve tray for added riser and line protection. It keeps the riser from folding around the bottom edge of the reserve tray. Pretty slick. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. The rain and clouds from the Bay have been breaking up before they reach us all the way out here in boone docks. My prediction for Saturday is scattered clouds, surf's up and good beer... ....thanks to Jamie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. My husband had both a Jav and a Voodoo. He says the Voodoo is the most comfy rig he has ever jumped. Oh boy. Did I say that out loud. Don't anyone quote me... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
