  3. Oh that's just the new stuff Roy! I've got stuff from back in the day too! Remember, I've been skydiving for 10 years. That's a lot of time to accumulate some REALLY sketchy stuff. In, fact. I think I will let sleeping dogs lie. No need to clean out the closet just yet. We'll wait until the winter weather is REALLY getting to us. Then we can start up with the "No SHit" stories. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  10. Also note. Most student canopies are De-Tuned. i.e. the steering lines are longer. Making the canopy less responsive. You can do this with any canopy you choose. Just remember. It takes a longer stroke to get you into trouble. It takes a longer stroke to get ou out of trouble. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  11. Here is my problem. I haven't had a real job inover 8 years. I skydive for a living. So I never wondered. Then I started waning on my skydiving craving. Now I have a real job and I remember what I am missing. What is up with that? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  21. My husband and I have traveled all over the world with our rigs. Each airport has it's own flavor depending who the TSA supervisor is. What we found is to go with the flow and be prepared. My husband is an airline pilot and was trying to carry his rig on in Oakland International. TSA told him he had to check it. He asked them to show him documentation supporting their request and they threatened to call OPD on him. In uniform no less. So again, be prepaired to check it if need be and go with the flow. The lower profile the better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  22. Happy Birthday frog-girl! Hope you had a great one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  23. Disclaimer: I am a Gear Dealer. First off try your local dealers in Aus. They will be able to give you more personal service. You will also be supporting your local skydiving economy. If you really can't find what you are looking for there, then of course I will have to add that www.GravityGear.com (that's me.)has plenty of International Experience. Mostly Europe but a couple to NZ. Good luck. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. My last rig was ParaPak. After 1000 jumps it still looked great. This time I got Cordura. Just got tired of Para.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. Cool looking? There is a reason that goes well beyond COOL LOOKING for a low profile helmet! #1 - Is your peripheral vision. This is a unique sport. One where potential impact comes from any direction. Another skydiver. Another canopy. We HAVE to maintain our peripheral vision. #2 - Drag. Go make a skydive with a motorcyle helmet on. Let me know if it stays on in a sit fly. How does it feel under your chin. I know the biggest obstacle we deal with in skydiving is the earth, but it is not the only one that will kill you. Collision with another skydiver or aircraft. Canopy collision.... The perfect helmet does not exist. But good helmets do. Low profile with optimal peripheral vision, minimal drag, quick release chin strap and as much skull protection as possible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
