  1. Have a heart. I don't agree with the law suit, but: I have seen a reserve open so hard that it broke lines. Sounded like a gun shot. The guy spiralled in. When we got to him, he had a severely displaced ankle and was coughing up blood. I held his hand while he was slowly bleeding to death from a torn aorta. I really didn't think he would die, but we got word from the hospital later that night. It definately had an impact on me. I made a few personal choices that day in regards to my own business. Until you are in a situation like that, I don't think you REALLY know how you will react. The guy broke 50 bones in his body. His wife spent countless hours praying for him in the hospital. You can't tell me you know what kind of emotions ensued. Again. I don't agree with the law suit. But, I still feel for the dude. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  2. A manufacturer by any other name is still a manufacturer. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  3. Sounds like it might cause vigneting, but I have some in stock, so I'll throw a couple on my camera and check it out this weekend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  4. I did a demo jump on the Smart 120. (I mean you can't sell something unless you've jumped it yourself, right.) Awesome on the flare. Good glide, but you can sink it also. Flys like a Triathalon. IMHO. The reinforcements are tough and it is TSOd to industry standards. I'ld jump one in my top tray any day. And since JP snuck it in there, I know of another company in Nor Cal offering a great introductory offer for the month of January ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  5. PD 9-cell 190 with umpteen million jumps on it. Red, Black and Royal with a built in left hand turn. Got through 80 jumps before I had to cut that piece of C#@P away. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  6. Congratulations on your new rig! Looks like you made and excellent choice! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  9. I had a VERY hard pull on my Reflex. This dates back to the first batch of rigs to come off the line. I had a loose Pop Top and asked a rigger to have a look. He tightened it down while we were all out to eat that night. Next morning, I got up to do a jump before the paying customers arrived. I pulled at 3500. Was spinning on my back. Chopped at 3200. No RSL. No Cypres (well dead battery). Grabbed Silver with one hand. Tug. Nothing. Okay. Two hands. One more time like you mean it! Nothing. By the time I got the handle out, I was on my back digging in with my knees and everything I had. I had an open parachute just under 700 feet. When we looked at my gear, the reserve pin was slightly bowed. I'm not sure what the pull force was, but I'm not exactly a tiny girl. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  10. Hope you have a great year, and many more! Now there is an understatement! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!

  13. What they said! Not for my lecture: 1. New line set! Change them between 400 - 600 jumps. Not only will this prevent tension knots, but it will help keep your canopy in trim as well. 2. Beware the ads that say, "GREAT BEGINNER RIG". Make sure that doesn't mean, "I used it when I started 10 years ago and it was good enough for me." Check into the maintenance and upkeep of the rig and consider and modifications that should be performed. Okay I'm done. >>BreathGravity Gear!
  14. If you come out to Byron, I could show you some moves too Seriously though. I thought you were going to come out before the holidays. We had a great weekend. I think next weekend looks good too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. You cannot embroider a rig after the fact. The material has to be placed on a hoop. They do the embroidery before they cut the fabric. You need to get your artwork digitized. If you can have someone lay it out on Adobe Illustrator that would be awesome. Digitizing is expensive. Up to $300.00, depending on the stitch count. There are also vast files of charactors that are already digitized, but of course Wiley wouldn't be in freefall. I don't think there is a copyright issue as long as you are not selling reproductions. PM me if you have any other questions about digitizing or embroidery. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. He he he. You got Burked. And being that you got Burked, it probably wasn't as cool as it seemed in your head. Please note the sarcasm. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. Jumpable and SUPER Swoopable. We had a great weekend with a very full pond. The games have begun. Winter jumpin' at Byron. Nothin' betta! (I guess it could be warmer) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. Hmmm. Carrying a gun on a plane. Somehow I don't think this event would be sanctioned by the FAA. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. It depends on the exit, but when I flew point on a 4-way team out of a king air..... I always cheated a little. I would face my center point to the prop as much as possible, then drop back a little (away from the fuselage) to give outside center some of that prop blast. That way you are not blown into the center. Deep knee and a powerful up and out launch. Possible side effects: big left arm and right thigh ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! 20. You can love her with all your heart without having to be in a serious relationship. I have male friends where the bond in insane.... in a wonderful way. Be in her life and Darrens. Love her. Be friends. Cherish all of those special moments. Don't try to put it into some kind of a mold. Like boyfriend or father. Just be. You'll know where to go from there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  21. Surfs up! Pond is full! Scattered clouds! Gotta run... ...see you out there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  22. If you are not looking to do a high performance turn, don't get a stiletto. They perform better when you encourage more speed to get the lift and glide that you are looking for. Keep in mind that a Sabre and a Stiletto of the same size have the same forward speed. Ref: http://www.performancedesigns.com/docs/wingload.pdf So if you are looking to come straight in, the better choice is just to downsize with your current model. A new Sabre2 135 will rock! Definately test jump one if you get the opportunity. Better yet, make the opportunity. No one can tell you what you will like better than YOU! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! 23. Don't laugh, but I might have one in stock. I'll check the shop tomorrow. Do you need the pilot chute too? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  24. What do you mean by "Street Price"? Used or New? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  25. Was his name Mathias? I had a student that was a Pro-Skater living in Carlsbad. This was about 4 years ago, so he should be freeflying by now ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
