  1. Shanes video "Something About McConkey" rocks. Don't know what this one is. But I haven't seen anything I didn't like from Shane. I heard him say, he only skiis to support his BASE habit. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  2. It depends on where you want your center point to be. If you are in a sit and you want your head to be the center of the rotation, then let your legs catch air and your body will rotate around your head. Bringing your limbs in tight will bring the center of the turn more towards the center of your body. Does that make sense? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  3. If you find him, tell him Bonnie from the Sirens says, "Hi!" Last I saw him was about 6 years ago at Nationals in Perris Valley. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  4. It varies from airport to airport. I know Oakland is a no go for carry ons. Security there threatend to call OPD on my husband and he was in Full Uniform (Pilot, Alaska Air Group). Since then, we always arrive early, check it in, and watch it until it clears additional screening. A bit of a pain, but you get used to it after about 50 times. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  5. I knew there was a reason I lurked these forums! I'll be expecting that beer tomorrow. Maybe hot apple cider, it's getting chilly. Congrats you two.... and yes, I am scared. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  6. What are you looking for? We are heading off to Sweden this around the holidays, and we either come through jolly old England or Amsterdam. If I have what you are looking for, I could possible get it there for you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  7. PD 113 at 1.4 Great flare in no wind conditions. Yippee! It has been my experience that PD reserves fly have superior performance at the higher wing loadings. I have 7 actual reserve rides and a number of demos. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  8. I will remember this Ok just let me write up a waiver in case I trip and drop you and also if your canopy disintegrates above your head. I gave tallguy a lift last week so it shouldn't be too hard to carry you on level ground. I can't promise anything if(or when) we walk through the pond tho... Hey did Jett see you carrying Tall Guy? Is that why she is so confused by you? Every time she sees you, she says, "But mamma, that's not Tall Guy???" She can't belive that we have two pretty tall guys now. Now I want to know what packer treated you like that! Unless it was Joel, cause he, well, well he, he just doesn't count because everyone knows he is obnoxious! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  9. Avoid them now and forever. It's okay when you are a student. You are pulling higher and are on a slower parachute. So the landing area / pattern is prettu much yours. When you are "in the mix" , if you do a big phat "S" turn on final the guy coming in behind you is not going to appreciate that. Imagine a faster parachte coming in for final. He assumes you are on final. Then you bust our an "S" turn to make it that much closer to your mark. Not a good thing. Sounds to me like you are doing great. Keep up the good work and don't over critisize yourself. There is plenty of time for that later ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  10. Fly a wider pattern. This way you can turn crosswind sooner and if you are too long you can turn final later and if you are too short you can turn sooner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  11. I used to live in Eloy and drive to work (AFF) at Buckeye. Buckeye is a small dz and Eloy is the largest. It really depends on what you are looking for. I say, stop at Buckeye on your way down and make a jump or two. It's closer to Phoenix than Eloy, but Eloy is a party in itself. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  12. What? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  13. Oh my gawd! I'm famous! Well at least my logo is. B ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  14. Do you know if the Main has had a reline? In our current Market on the West Coast, I'ld say $2,200.00 to $2,300.00. Depends on how much the buyer has to put into it. New Lines? I & R..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  15. Congrats on AFF. And if that shoulder does come out on a deployment, remember your PLF! I had a friend dislocate her right shoulder and couldn't throw out, so she pulled her reserve. She mistakenly reached up to unstow her brakes and only one arm went up, so she held it in a half brake and PLFed and laughed a lot later. Better plan is to leave the brakes stowed (in half flight) stear with rear risers and PLF. Always good to have a plan.... just in case. Welcome to the skys. Enjoy the ride! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  16. Well, I started Gravity Gear and GravityGear.com while living in my van at the DZ. Last year I lived in an RV. This year I just got a Condo. Slowly but surely, doing what I love. It's not too bad. I do like ramen and try not to eat Sushi all summer to make it through the winter. It all depends what your priorities are. If you want it bad enough, you can make it happen! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  17. As many of you know, a group of Nor Cal Women have been training to have an opportunity to earn a slot on the Womens Vertical World Record Attempts hosted by the Sugar Gliders at Skydive Arizona this month. We have come up with some creative games to raise money to help us offset the cost of travel and registration. Please stop by the following url for info or e-mail [email protected] http://visionclone.com/BAS/wwr_fundraiser.htm Thanks in advance for your support. We have all learned a lot this summer and are looking forward to the opportunity to get up in the air with women from all over the world! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  18. Tuck it into your undies. It works AND it's fun! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  19. Miss Missy is just coming as Miss Missy for a little vacation. I'm sure you folks can help to show here a good time here? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
  20. So. Do you drop zone people have a banner? We have a pretty cool mondo tent we can set up in the camping area for a swank gretting area. Let me know and I'll help your freak flag fly! 21. Hey Sandi! A little Jett love coming your way. We've got your pic up in the car and the car-house sending you lots of love each time we look at it. I just asked Jett what she wanted to say here. What would she say if she could talk to you on the phone... She says, "I love you." and "Please come back." Lot's lof love from her mommy too. We'll be seeing you soon. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Peace and Blue Skies! Bonnie ==>Gravity Gear!
