  1. What makes you assume Im an Aussie, I just live and work here........ I was simply stating that gun crime is not like a tsumani as per your post, in that it it happens once ever 100 years or so, but is an everyday occurance... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  2. But these aren't one time events in the us, one time it is a guy with a sniper rifle, the following week it is a kid with an automatic rifle, or it’s a school in Littleton, Jonesboro, Paducah or Springfield that’s is massacred ……to the list goes on and on… ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  4. So when you park your car into the car in front of you at 50Kmph and your seat belt stops you, what is there then to protect you when the front end of your car is compresssed in the impact and smashed through your face... maybe then when you are removing you teeth and face from your dashboard, you might wish you had a "bomb" designed for "dumbasses" ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

    dilemma

In this hypothetical dilemma what would you do????? You're in Florida... In Miami, to be exact... There is chaos around you caused by a hurricane and severe floods. This is a flood of major proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper caught in the middle of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under the water. Nature is showing all its' destructive fury. You see a man in the water! He is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken away with the water and debris. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar. Suddenly, you know who it is... its George W. Bush! At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him under, forever. You have two options. You can save him or you can take the most dramatic photos of your life. You can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer Prize-winning photo, documenting the death of one of the world's most powerful men. Now, here's the question (please give an honest answer)... Would you select colour film, or rather go with the classic simplicity of black and white? ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  9. That's my plan. I'm not sure if your dumb ass noticed..........but Iraq isn't really producing a lot of oil these days. Comparatively of course. 10. 11. If I could I would get a Barret M107 Semi Automatic Ten Round .50 Caliber Rifle, how much fun would one of these bad boys be http://www.barrettrifles.com/military.htm ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  12. Personally I thought the way that MS Spyware handles hijacked search/home pages by replacing the hijacked page with msn.com was a little rude. Other spyware packages simply restore the page to “your” default settings.... Also it does nothing to protect users of the rival Firefox web browser from home- and search-page hijacking. And you have to verify your copy of XP to be able to download it… But still seems like and effective tool, although I would still recommend Webroot's Spy Sweeper http://www.webroot.com/ ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  16. ??? are you crazy.. The Cube was a great film, now the sequel Hypercube.... I would rather have been forced to watch Legally Blonde, a film which I can only imagine is worse then being on death row... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  18. "worst film ever.... I was on the internet in seconds registering my disgust" apart from revealing the main plot half way through the film, it only left the ending to guess, which lets face was pretty obvious ...... MNS needs to spend more time trying to actually make a half decent film, then trying to keep us guessing for 2 hours.... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  19. To name a few i've seen recently that were beyond bad, 1.Ladder 49 - how do films like this get made... 2.The Village - only bad because they gave away the twist half way through the film, and you could see the ending coming from a mile. 3. The Cronicals of Riddick(ulous) 4. Signs - oh god, oh god im actually in physical pain just remembering how bad this film was... But not to dwell on the bad here are some movies that rocked.... 1."great odins raven" - The Legend or Ron Burgundy 2. Saw 3.Open water 4. The Incredibles ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+

  21. I'm pretty sure you need a minimum of a D licence to jump there (but they may have changed it recently to C minimum). There are a lot of hazards - the ocean, houses and a nice big hotel accross the road from the landing area to name a few. There are a lot of outs too, but you need to prove you know what you're doing before they let you jump there. Skydive the beach is a great spot to jump, however you will need a display D licence, which is not that hard to get, aslong as you have a B licence then you and get it. The only thing is that it is primarily a tandem opperation, and you might end up waiting a few hours to get on a load, as there is only one load per hour. So phone ahead. The jump itself is great, although it will only be from 10K, and you have the option to land on the beach, or in the park, both of which aren't that tricky..... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  22. NO!!! Don't plan to get one either Are there any bed&breakfasts or cheap, ok hotels nearby? There are places to stay around Picton, but none within walking distance to the DZ (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Camping isnt that bad, if you are here for the boogie then there will be plenty of people staying in tents. Plus the weather is rather nice over here, and by easter it will have cooled down a bit. There is also a "bunkhouse" at the DZ, so if you dont mind sleeping on a matress that looks like a small animal was slaughtered on it, and can get there before all the beds are gone, you wil need your own blanket, or sleeping bag. The other options you have is to find someone to stay with who will be able to give you a lift to the DZ, or stay in Sydney somewhere, as there are plenty of us who drive down from the city. ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  23. Twice surfing I have been held under the water for long time, to the point where I had actually resigned to the fact that I was going to drown. I distinctly remember, to start with there was no panic, I had been in this situation before, then after a period of time I was still under the water I started to panic. The panic stage didnt seem to last long, then I just seemed to accept the fact I was going to drown, and suddenly everthing seemed quite peacefull..... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  24. Well I have used PPro 1.5 for about 6 months now and love it, yes I agree there it is far from perfect. To really get the most ourt of it you will need to use it in conjunction with After Effects. Once you get to grips with both these programs there is very little you wont be able to achieve.... ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
  25. What - it's nearer than me and I can do it in 55 mins! Should take 10 mins onto expressway then 40 mins from there. Squeak - you stick to your side of the country and I'll stick to mine Maroubra would be a great choice, it is still cheap compared to the rest of the eastern suburb beachs, and you will get a good deal for a family place... also the drive to picton will be less then an hour.... Mind you when CJP and I drive down, we leave at 6am so the roads are empty, but still its 80Km, its not going to take long. And one think to remember with your UK driving licence if you get busted for speeding the police cant give you points, you will get a fine, but no points..... I have been driving on a UK licence for 3 years over here now, and it has saved my bacon a couple of times ----------------------------------------------------------- --+ There are 10 types of people in the world: Those who understand binary, and those who don't.. --+
