  1. Reminds me of a Chappelle show episode, where he discusses the iBooks large screen: And with the big screen, when I'm watching porn, I can see all sorts of parts of the vagina I didn't even know existed. Flaps and flocks and flip flaps... wow. MB 3528, RB 1182
  2. does it have something to do with her occupation? MB 3528, RB 1182
  3. the notice on the screen during the commercial says "Aerial sequence simulated" I knew the car was falling way too flat and perfect. MB 3528, RB 1182
  4. i thought that commercial looked fake, and sure enough in the bottom corner it says "Aerial sequence simulated" so no car was dropped. They probably did the falling speed thing as a physics calculation, assuming the car fell at the slowest speed possible too. MB 3528, RB 1182
  5. because ducks and birds like that accidently pick it up while feeding from the bottom or getting stones for gizzards. Then the lead poisons them. MB 3528, RB 1182
  6. I bet Al-Jeezera (sp?) doesn't cover this story. MB 3528, RB 1182
  7. agreed. if a person gets accused of rape, even if it turns out to be blatenly false later, the stigma stays with him/her. someone who places the stigma on him/her maliciously should get punished. edited to make it more PC. I guess guys could get raped too. MB 3528, RB 1182
  8. thats what I thought. A picture banning a sword is stupid, but you obviously have to draw the line somewhere... if a picture of a sword, then allow a picture of a toy gun, then allow a picture of a real gun, then allow a picture of you pointing a real gun at your head. Then some idiot at your school commits suicide with a gun to the head and the parents try to sue the school for $20 billion. Where do you draw the line? Somebody will probably find a picture of someone "dressing gangsta" with a glock not appropriate for school, so how do you argue thats not ok, and a sword is ok? MB 3528, RB 1182
  9. The canopy I am using now has 2000+ jumps on it I think, and it works fine. Its had a few relines. MB 3528, RB 1182
  10. the reason people list serial numbers when they sell them is to prevent stolen gear from being sold. There is no laws stopping you from selling this gear. if you are trying to sell this gear, i'd seriously doubt you would get more then like $100 for it. Its almost 20 years old at the possible youngest (DOM in 1989). and it could be older then that. I think thats why some people are suggesting donating it to a skydiving museum... because it MIGHT be a tax write off if the museum is non-profit. I'm not sure on that though. MB 3528, RB 1182
  11. Most rigs close left than right? So the accronym I was toaught has beens all wrong?! I've been told this way: Javelins are left right, and Wings use right-left. My Wings I've always closed right left and never had a problem. I too think the original guys problems are in that his closing loop is way too long. It sounds like he may not pack himself or know much about the internals of a rig, so my advice is to sit down with the packer or a rigger and have them show him how to change a closing loop length. 12. yeah, those american soldiers should die for what other americans think of stupid online petitions!!!! did you step on a bug the other day? Well I happen to think killing bugs is WRONG, and so I hope a murderer CASTRATES more UK people to teach them!!!!!!!111 MB 3528, RB 1182
  13. short version... No long version I'd guess that at 200 feet, having to make a decision, then having to execute the decision, by the time you even reach down and pull the cutaway, you'd be below the survivable altitude even with a skyhook. and like someone else brought up, you need a reserve packed for an extremely fast opening anyways, i.e. packed slider down and the main had to have enough drag too. 17. sigh... a petition against dolphin killing somehow turns into america bashing MB 3528, RB 1182
  18. john you messed up here!!! quade, to buy a gun even at a gun show or a gun store, you have to get a mandatory backround check. at a gun show, the dealer calls it in to a government office who do an immediate check. as far as how many you can buy, I beleive its essentially "as many as you want". You do have to fill out a form if you are buying multiple handguns, which the BATF reviews. But the BATF watches for suspicious behavior, like buying several guns at once EDIT: Douva is right, buying a gun from an individual requires no checks. MB 3528, RB 1182
  19. this statement is correct. I think everyone in the world could get an expensive, but very well made US rig and cypres, etc, but doesn't because of price. they can save a lot of cash by buying local, or last generation rigs (like vector 2), but they do lose a bit of safety I think MB 3528, RB 1182
  20. thats why I do my part to dispose of them. these were 3 I shot a couple weeks ago MB 3528, RB 1182
  21. its an inside joke, I have no bad feelings towards powered parachutes MB 3528, RB 1182
  22. Why do you have to jump through the hoops to own these weapons? because making machine guns illegal is considered bad by the constitution. Instead, they just regulated and taxed them until nobody wanted to go though the trouble to own one. MB 3528, RB 1182
  23. dirt floor. putting something on the floor is alright I guess... if you're a hoighty toighty rich sob. MB 3528, RB 1182
