  1. It's all good. Whatever you guys figure out on the adapters, let me know. Glad we finally figured out the difference on the CamEye and CamEye II. I'm going to put the final results of all the research in this thread in our adapter listing so hopefully future jumpers know in the future before buying whether they have the I or II. Thanks! 2. I originally attended Tom Dolphin's course at SkydiveMRVS to finish up my Senior Rigger ticket. Great course and instructors. http://skydivemrvs.com/homepage/default.asp I finished up my Master Rigger certificate at Sandy Reid's course, which is another well thought-out course. http://usapr.com/ Mike ChutingStar.com
  3. There are several other Contour mounts/boxes available as well. See links to some below. And we have another that works with the X-Shut on the way. http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/contour-hd-box.html http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/contourhd-low-profile-sturdy-mount.html http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/rawa-contour-camera-box.html http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/assembled-rawa-image-contour-side-mount.html Mike ChutingStar.com
  4. Must get reported to who? Yes, a local rigger or jumpers may know of a AAD fires, but there is no requirement for reporting to one person, company or organization. Some get "reported" somewhere...some don't. Mike ChutingStar.com
  5. I would stick with the XL as your head size puts you inside the XL size range for a Z1. If it is too tight, you can just swap out the XL for the XXL liner. It's the same shell, just different liners. Mike ChutingStar.com
  6. In the far reaches of my memory...watch out now...I remember some info from PD at one time that the glide on a Spectre and Sabre2 are actually very similar. And in some instances, the Spectre outglides the Sabre2. The Storm is a different story, as it is definitely steep glide angle. Mike ChutingStar.com
  7. Uh, yeah...about that...not a common thing. Aye, aye, aye... Mike ChutingStar.com
  8. We do have them in stock...here ya go: http://www.chutingstar.com/newgear_en/gath-replacement-retractable-visor.html Mike ChutingStar.com
  9. 7 1/4" for the Large-XXLarge 7" for the XS-Medium These are the measurements from side to side of just the visors, not installed. Mike ChutingStar.com
  10. There is not a curved adapter for the Goldmember or Zkulls. You could either do an X-Shut mount with Integration Kit (can be mounted on curved top helmets) or a Liquid Flatlock with a Flatlock Adapter (used for converting the curved top to the flat Flatlock). Mike ChutingStar.com
  11. We've sold and installed several of these mounts. Just a few holes to drill. The nice thing on this mount is the full 360-degree swivel, more secure than the sticky mounts and it's low profile. The drawback is that you need to keep a screwdriver with you if/when you want to adjust the angles. This is the same mount they use on the GoPro Hand Mount. Mike ChutingStar.com
  12. See the video and instructions here: http://www.chutingstar.com/expertadvice_en/photo-video/95-x-shut-flush-mounting-guide.html Mike ChutingStar.com
  13. In the U.S., you can contact them here: http://www.chutingstar.com/expertadvice_en/altimeters/96-lab-us-service-center.html Mike ChutingStar.com
  14. We have them in stock here, and have sold/setup a few in the past month, but I don't have any photos right now other than what's on our site. Do you want me to take some more photos of one tomorrow? And what parts of the helmet are you looking for more detail on? Mike ChutingStar.com
  15. So did you get it to open now? Glad we could help out. Mike ChutingStar.com
  16. You press the back of the visor locking plates forward and up. I reach back with both thumbs and press forward/up. Mike ChutingStar.com
  17. That flat area was for the CamEye II. The HypEye D Pro is mounted just below that area due to the larger base of the HypEye compared to the CamEye. Also, with the thickness of the Rawa helmet, we usually secure the HypEye D Pro with small zip-ties through two small holes on either side of each cable, near the base. I can send a photo later today. Mike ChutingStar.com
  18. Here ya go...this happened as the loop was being pre-stretched to put into a rig. It was a fresh loop and new disc. Mike ChutingStar.com
  19. Seems expensive compared to others and not sure on logistics of where to put that processor for skydiving purposes. http://www.vio-pov.com/products-all/pov-hd.html Mike ChutingStar.com
  20. Yes, that's normal. Mike ChutingStar.com
  21. Just damn, we've had a few of these too over the past year. I keep meaning to send a note to Airtec...glad to hear Terry has...I'll need to follow-up as well. All of the times it has happened here is when we are pre-stretching the loop before putting it in the rig. I think we still have the discs at the shop...will have to dig them out. Mike ChutingStar.com
  22. Depends on the mount, but if just the adhesive curved adaptor, that will work. You just have to put it back toward the center of the helmet...you can't put it right at the front edge. Mike ChutingStar.com
  23. On a Dual Hawk you can have a the cutters fire after the reserve deployment and the loops would not be cut...because the cutters are on a different flap than the loops...so after deployment, if the cutters fire, they won't be anywhere close to the loops. An AAD cutter will only cut the loops on a Dual Hawk if it fires while the container is close (and the loops are through the cutters). Mike ChutingStar.com
