  1. Has anyone ever mounted a Hypeye D Pro inside of a Rawa vision? I have been trying to mount the switch inside the helmet where the round controller mount is right behind the top flat mounting area. The Hypeye just doesnt seem to fit, any held would be appreciated.
  2. Perris no longer films you when signing the waivers, I was just there a week ago and it took about 10 minutes or less to fill out the waivers. I mostly jump at Elsinore and they are usually closed tuesdays.
  3. I don't like standing on the loading ramp while getting blow dried by prop blast on a 110 degree day while waiting for people to figure out how to sit down. I also don't like people behind me telling me to go up the ramp so I can stand in prop blast waiting for people to figure out how to sit down. People who don't like sitting on the floor while everyone else is smashed together suck. Also the plastic tips on the end of shoe laces.
  4. Look up Jim Hickey. I'm not sure exactly how old he is but I see him at elsinore everytime I go. Did a tracking dive with him on sat and he rocks! I often see him in a wingsuit and just watched a video of him base jumping and from what I hear he has only been skydiving for less than 5 years. Dude is old but as bad as they come!

    fun

  6. Not too similar but still funny. A couple months ago I walked into a certain type of "medical clinic" to hear a customer and employee talking about making jumps. Turned out they were talking about skydiving at my local dropzone. When I asked the customer how many jumps he had he responded "too many to remember, I don't even know anymore". When I asked if he was a freeflyer he laughed and said "no way I can't do that" , then said the same to crw, fs, and wingsuiting. Turned out he had more jumps than he could remember but he only did solo belly jumps. He had a tattoo on his forearm that read born to fly. Good stuff!
  7. Great dropzone choice! As far as things to do in California you'll have a hard time not finding something to do. I won't let any friends visit california without going to the hollywood strip and venice beach on a weekend. ITS MAGICAL!
  8. I only have a year in the sport and just over 100 jumps but I learned early that the FF folk just know how to have more fun! But honestly I skydive to have fun and freeflying is just way more fun for me than taking grips on my belly.
  9. Bought a jumpsuit off him and I wouldnt hesitate to buy from him again. Everything was as advertised and he ships fast.
  10. Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I'm going back the weekend after next for sure but hopefully I can make it before then. Also already thinking about progressing and getting my B asap so I can do some heli and blimp jumps. I'd like to get my water training done soon while the weather is still warm. As for the beer I think a 24 of corona a 12 of pacifico and a 12 of tecate was enough?
  11. After 3 1/2 months, 25 jumps and with the help and knowledge of all the great people at skydive elsinore I got my A license on sunday. Funny part was I made my most accurate landing ever on my last jump but got blown to my right after touchdown and had one line go over a 10' windsock. Luckely I landed close to a fellow jumper who I was able to easily persuade to let me lift his foot up with my hands and untangle me. It was a good day!
