  1. Yeah my dad sold my SS396 when i was a kid. Some crap about tickets and missing school. But he was kind enough to drop me off at the bus stop, on his way to work, in the mornings. So i saved my money and bought a corvett and became a skydiver. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  2. That is a wopping .6667 jumps per month. Sounds like you are off student status. So you can't find an extra $100 bucks a month? Do you drink lattes, smoke cigerates or have some habit you could exchange? I know at my DZ we need tandem packers. Hell i bet if you cleaned the DZ on saturday and sunday morning before anyone gets up you could cash in enough empty bottles to pay for a jump. 3. You should be able to get Major Medical insurance for a reasonable cost. It would have a large deductible, Maybe $2500. Go for the Medical Savings Accounts. Then you can put say $100 a month in a MSA that works sort of like an IRA. But you can write checks for your medical expenses out of that account. The question I would like answered is: As an reservest don,t they offer some kind of good health insurance? I mean if your break your leg it seems they would want your fixed up, asap. More thing that make me go HUmmm. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  4. how you are attacking it sight unseen. I understand that 8 minutes of trailer has been shown. I got my spin from the radio talk shows. Like shark I will probally not watch it unless they add some skydiving. Ron's youngest son did a tandem that was televised. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  5. of censorship driven by not even the government, but some wankers over at the RNC This is not censorship. CBS does what they do for $$$. They realized that putting words, that Reagan did not say, in his mouth, and portraing him in an negative way, especially since he was not like some of the scenes in the move. Would not make them money. I am sure you will be able to see the movie a few years after his death. PS I will be looking forward to the movie " The Clintens" a few years after Bills death. I susspect it will also lack a true historical picture. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  6. If some one is going low, and they are doing a fair job of slow following, Just breaking and going to the next point should be enough for them to get in sync with the fall rate. If the formation has to fly down to the low person there is more going on than just the formation slowing down. Often when some one goes low, and keeps going low, they are looking up at the formation and spilling lots of air. But think they are slow falling. Get a few friends together with a camera flyer on level and do some fallrate change drills.Do a proper debrief, repeat as necessaray. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  7. Girl Wears short skirt. She goes in to the toilet. You approach several seconds later, look at other door and pretend it is locked. Turn around and open door with g/friend inside. Lock door behind you. She must be coordinated and bendy. She faces away, one or both feet on toilet. There is no top on the commode, so do not slip. Keep noise to a minimum. When finished leave one at a time. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  8. Generally I do not recommend a very low timer to go to a boogie. But Eloy has a separate student landing area. And pleanty of instructors / coaches. People often travel to Eloy to go through the student program, on their vacation. In other words: Come on Down. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...

  11. So you tried to clear the first problem and then you spun up going to your hard deck. Chop! Don't spend the rest of your life tring to fix shit. If you got unspun below your hard deck. Go home and read about all your dead friends that were not so lucky. If you got a landable camopy by your hard deck, good for you. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  12. Whats up Scott: you never told me you guys were going to nationals. Just a few jumpers getting together every now and again for a little 8 way. Good Luck, with the Xbox stuff that is.
  13. You're not going to Nationals??? What's up with that??? Nationals will be a ball this year! We can get all the Advanced gangs together and play poker while we watch the thunderstorms roll through! Creeper races anyone? Bj & Tyree get a little quirkie when you mention Fl or NY. I hope we plan for Perris next year. The closer it gets to Nationals, the more it is killing me that I am not going. Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  14. Hey Bobby: I would wait the 8 hours for the chance to have Mel sit on my lap. So how's your tummy? How many teams can Ron jump on at nationals? Hope you guys have a blast. 24. Hey Scotty who is Timmy? Too short of an answer: For the piece to present to the relative wind the front can not be early, the rear can NOT be late. The front must see the rear leaving, but go on go so as not to be pulled off. This is the timing. Usually when the frout goes under the rear was late. Come to the Xmas boogie in eloy and it will be explained Don't run out of altitude and experience at the same time...
  25. I have been on few tracking dives, with freeflyers. They wear baggy clothes and are in an arched position, except the leader, who is on their back. It should be called flocking dives. They do not track, but move forward at a fairly slow fall rate. Once we get to break off, about 6k, we turn and track. I go much faster now that i straighten out my leg, lose the arch and push with my shoulders and arms. This puts much distance between me and the other flockers. I would then knee fly while watching them depoly. In a tracking contest they track. The point is to cover max amount of ground. Two different disiplines.
