  1. TOTAL RUMOUR....just did a search in imdb.com for some information on him.... He's currently in 2 movies...and all the message boards are discussing how quickly the rumour has spread...it is apparently world-wide, and a complete fabrication! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  2. You're doing what I do - overanalysing!!! don't worry about it - he's obviously looking out for you - so he wants you. you could have considered adding something like: "Hi XXX, Thanks for your call about the open position. Attached is my resume. I look forward to speaking with you again. Sincerely, XXX" That at least goes into his inbox and grabs his eye....and reminds him about it. Always think about it from his perspective....even though he just talked to you - he's probably making 20 calls today. So, if you set up your email with a bit of a "friendly reminder" message - chances are he'll remember that he a) talked to you, and b) was thinking of you for a particular position. Good luck - I'm going through job hell right now too - so best of luck for us both!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  3. I definately have to agree with you on that one.... 'Duh has some stunning peepers!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  4. The "corset" piercing seems to be all the rage these days...and I think they look sexy as hell - from a distance, or in a photograph!! You should see these things as many as a couple hours later, or even a day later...they're nasty, crusty, swollen ugly things! When talking recently to my piercer - he said they are meant to be done for an exhibition, or a photoshoot, but NEVER for a permanent piece!!!! Sadly, some folks feel otherwise! Anyway - I voted sexy!! But then again - I'm pierced up too, so I can't judge when I belong to the club! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  5. I couldn't view it, but this brings up a very scary situation that happened to me this morning.... NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT text message and walk across streets at the same time!!! Found myself standing in the middle of a lane with on-coming traffic...having just walked across two (THANKFULLY) empty lanes of traffic!! yeah - heart was beatin' good this morning!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  6. Hey - I know that dude!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  7. Nope, I retired defeated from the barstool racing circuit. With all the sponsorships and the commercial endorsements, it just lost the heart. Good thing you have skydiving to fall back on!!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  8. They better not be.... RANDY is just such a lame name...I can't imagine there's even a skydiver named Randy - let alone that he would admit it was his name!!! No, I've seen that guy Bolas fly - he's a'ight... I wouldn't kick him off a dive, but then again - I might steer clear of him on it!!! Never know what those crazy Brothers will do from one-minute to the next??!!! Hey - any bar stool races in your future??? Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  9. FLOCK YOU, RANDY!!! I wouldn't fly with you if you weren't on my load, not in a BM suit, and certainly - not if you were in the dive plan. Then I wouldn't dive with you at all! Other than that - I would dive with you!! Looking forward to heaps more flockin' these year. Didn't have my suit last year - so I'm all about it this year!! GUESS WHAT STARTS IN 4 MORE DAYS!!!??? sea ewe thare!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  10. Basically - it boils down to this...it's your money...spend it where you'd like!! When you are staff - sure, you can expect to have some issues with what you're allowed to do at other dz's, but it still shouldn't stop you from visiting other dzs on your day off, or attending boogies elsewhere. Hell - for me - 1/2 the fun of skydiving is the variation!! The particular dz that Thanatos is mentioning won't allow their staff to JUMP at any other dropzone...and if they go to other dzs to visit - they're required to wear their "home" dz clothes. Sort of guerilla marketing.... If other fun jumpers show up to this dz wearing clothes from other dz's - they're asked to change, or purchase clothes from *this* dz. I'm not bashing the dz, but I find it foolish, and unnecessary. Spence, who has been mentioned before, operates his boogies in different places under the sole premise that "we're all here to skydive, and have fun!" Often the "have fun" is confused with other less fun ideals, but ultimately - it still boils down to 'having fun'. HAVE FUN in your own ways...and WHEREEVER you want to!!! Like it has been said before - that's when you'll *really* learn in this sport! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  11. Okay Remmie and Piis....I was taking a shot at that one... I located it on a map while I was in France, and it looked like it was close to the mountains....so I assumed. SoooooOOOOOORRRRYY!!!! The rest are very beautiful back drops though! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  12. NO??? I have a distinct visual of YOU and HIM at Neighbors one night... Not sure if his cock was ever going to enter the situation.... but - I know the incident was witnessed by more than 1 individual!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  13. there.... Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic

  15. Since I have nothing but time on my hands... *********************************** I wanted to ask you all a question....should I post something completely rude about Shimell's [or Wingnut's] spelling, or not? I haven't read this whole post, but if I'm not mistaken then the fact that the boy can't spell is nothing that should be made fun of. I mean - we know that between the boobies and beer available at any dropzone - it's a wonder any of us can spell "boobies" and "beer" properly...let alone - discuss the benefits of jumping a 9-cell vs. a 7-cell. I myself jump a 9-cell - with an AAD loaded about 1:1.3, but I don't pass judgement on those whuffos that choose to not jump AADs...and overload their canopies. I'm sure that has all been posted before & I wouldn't want this to be policed. I could post something about Clay, and his affliction for sheep, but I have a feeling that weege would get a little upset - and not to mention - embarrassed for being compared to a farm animal!!!
  16. That's awesome, Nichole!! I did a jump last fall with my dad and brother....great memories. They finally understood why I do this...and don't have a problem with it anymore. The look on my dad's face in FF when I popped into a sit, then back on my belly...then coming in for a high-five....that was perhaps the best "I'm proud of you, son" look I could have ever seen on his face!!! Very cool!!! Enjoy it!!
  17. I can't believe you guys.... 7 DAYS LEFT and this isn't the most talked about thread on the forum!!!??? I want to hear it people...I want to hear all about how much fun we're going to have...how much craziness we're going to get into...and certainly how many new family members we're going to initiate!!!! [stomps feet]SOUND OFF......1....2......SOUND OFF......3.......4......!!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
  18. Having done this myself when I was younger I can say there are good and bad to this decision. Good: you have experiences that you can always draw from, that shape your life, that provide incredible insight into your discussions with everyone in the future, that help you land jobs, and most of all - provide life long memories!! Bad - I have found that my "modest" $3500 debt when I was 24 is STILL plague-ing my every paycheck. Mind you, I have allowed it to bloom into well over $7000, but never-the-less - it took me 4 years to pay half of that off...and hopefully won't take me another 4 to finish it. The 0% CC's LOVE getting you into this mindset...it's what has shaped America thus far. And, with the bankruptcy laws changing - there's less room to get freedom from your debtors. IMHO...I say go for it - but understand the risks, all of them. $3500 takes almost NO TIME to spend, but to pay off...plan on about 4times as long!! bite your tongue girl.... just because you're not planning on jumping this weekend, doesn't mean you have to ruin it for the rest of us!!!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic

  21. Well - it's almost her summer vacation, right?? so, how about a cool trip - brother and sister - some place fun. Some place that "mom & dad" would definately upon, but would make her feel like it was all worth it. How about a road trip to New Orleans....let her drink and make sure you're a "big brother" for her. Or, take her someplace she would get 'into'. Busch Gardens, Disneyworld/Pleasure Island, etc. If you're in Orlando area - take her to the tunnel! Or, you can give her something you, again - know the parents wouldn't agree with, but she would like. Does she want a tattoo? Body piercing? Anyway - just some ideas. Take it for what it's worth. 22. Hopefully Bobster will post something here..but he broke his fib just above the ankle...has a plate...and is already jumping again. Recovery is different for everyone, but don't be afraid to push yourself to the limits while recovering. Having recovered from a femur myself - I can tell you that the more you push it (within limits...obviously don't hurt yourself further...the quicker and better off you'll be later). Good luck - heal quick!! Kahurangi e Mahearangi, Kiwi, RB #926, AFF-I, FAA Snr. Rigger, RN/BSN/Paramedic
